I stopped counting the number of good shows, that got canceled after two seasons. And just as when things were getting very interesting, it is more frustrating each time. As far as The Client List is concerned, this second year finale, was the perfect conclusion to the season. And have JLH get great material to work with. As Time of Your Life fans could notice, her chemistry with Jonathan Schaech is still through the roof. In a time where every single shows are picked up, it was unbelievable this one ended the way other short lived series did, ten years ago, prior to when it aired. And as the actress joined an ensemble cast, and left her sexy and provocative image behind her, since. The series pretty much dead and buried now... Personally I enjoyed season 2 a lot more than I did season 1. And in spite of the heavy soap, the script kept you invested, and the characters grew on you. Apart from its cancellation, I regret how things « ended » between Riley and her nemesis. Because I would've pictured them having a torrid affair on season 3. Addressing the heroine's dark side, that was hinted all series long. And making her journey for a happy ending, all the more satisfying. Of course, after that cliffhanger ending, we can all just speculate, and draw our own conclusions. But I like that idea of her completely hitting rock bottom, and getting out of this experience more serene and in peace with herself. I think it fits the character's psychology perfectly...
