FATAL
giovannahernandez-776272 December 2023
Warning: Spoilers
I saw the first one made and it was excellent. New concepts, a positive message, twisted unexpected and very funny.

But this one is fatal. With concepts that we see every day again or again. No originality in the script.

The characters are not well developed. Grief and death are central but empty themes. We never found out how she spent the entire movie depressed by her father and one day she was fine and writing books. Was not a comedy movie or drama.

Not to mention the character who always talks about hallucinogenic mushrooms and now wants to have children by randomly looking for men.

What Latina teenagers need.

Not bad

The movie isn't as bad as its ratings. This is the sequel to "How to Get Over a Breakup" (2018). Three girlfriends from Lima meet guys, fall in love, want to get married and have children. The plot may not be original. After all, a lot of films have been made about female friendship.

The film is sad in places, but also humorous. And I didn't like the offensive statements about literary slaves. It was rude and inappropriate.

At the beginning it was boring and drawn out. And also poorly understood. I wanted to stop watching. But after 30 minutes it gets more interesting.

Overall I liked this movie. I recommend it.

Just as good as the first one !

The first movie was good hence why I had to watch the second one. Although it doesn't really stick to one main topic as the reviews have said, I think it's a good representation on how several things can be happening at once and just having to go through with life without losing who you are.

The ending was rushed yet I think it really helped you see how she was healing from each hardship that she was dealing with as well as still holding space for her mom and friends' problems. And seeing how much each of them have grown since the first movie was so nice to see!

*spoiler* And I think showing Regina be ready for motherhood on her own terms was perfect! She would be such a good mom! And tostadapp guy being in it was perfect ! Lol it was weird but balanced it out.
