Homeless, ex serviceman Con is brutally battered and left on The Streets, Vera faces a wall of silence when trying to find the killer.
I really did enjoy this episode, a very interesting story, and one which felt very relevant for the current time, with the country in the mess it's in, and ex servicemen ending up on The Streets, it had quite a significance. I thought the pacing of this one was very good.
A very strong opening, you really got to see life from Con's point of view, it really does give the character some relevance, meaning that the events that follow have more significance.
A few nice touches of humour, I love the way she went around pinching people's food and drinks.
I really liked the variety of characters, and as always there was some fine acting. As did the new character, Doctor Bennett, I thought she made a really strong start, a tough cookie, one who wasn't afraid to mix it up with Vera.
8/10.
