*Spoilers*
As an avid New Girl watcher and lover of the show, I've come to the conclusion that Cooler is my favorite episode of New Girl (with Elaine's Big Day and Five Stars for Beezus coming in close second and third).
First, I'll start by saying that it's not only a genuinely funny episode, but it also shows the undeniable chemistry between Jess (Zooey Deschanel) and Nick (Jake Johnson). Although it isn't obvious until the end of the episode, their budding relationship is the main theme of Cooler. Next, Winston (Lamorne Morris) has lost his "mojo" with women and feels like he can't talk to them anymore. But after he meets a nice woman, Daisy, at the bar, his confidence boosts. Lastly, it's been a while since Schmidt (Max Greenfield) had sex, so him, Nick and Winston compete over a woman named Holly. Schmidt is the one who wins her over in the end.
The best moment of the episode happens at the very last minute. Jess and Nick FINALLY kiss and I squeal every time I watch it. Those thirty seconds and Nick saying "I meant something like that" are what make the entire episode. I definitely recommend watching this episode if you're up for good laughs and watching a couple you just want to get together already. I can watch it over and over and over again!
