Good Enough

Korean Drama " Seasons of Blossom " is a school drama with a tragic story at its center.

The drama starts out as a typical school rom-com, but quickly escalates away from it. It talks about trauma, family drama, and dealing with the lose of a loved one. It also has a romantic aspect, as it presents two love stories, one of the past and the current one. Both of them were cute, the first one was tragic and had a nostalgic feel to it, and the other was kind of refreshing and cute.

The performances, in addition, were enjoyable by everyone in the cast. However, the female lead's character tended to be annoying and tiring after a while.

So, overall, eight and a half out of ten.

WEBTOON VERSION IS A MASTERPIECE but the kdrama is not the best
bougiadaa24 December 2022
Having read the webtoon first and become a big fan of this story , i was looking forward to watch this webtoon as a kdrama version but to tell you the truth i was kinda dissapointed

this webtoon is so underrated but actually one of the most amazing and well written stories i have ever read .. so i had high expectations for this kdrama

the cast was not the best .. i mean some of the characters are similar to the webtoon but their acting skills was a bit low . ALSO they change some scenes and they did not pay attention to other important . I have to add that the past - present was confused at first and i could not concetrate to one love story ... i would prefer to be like the webtoon every season a different love story.

Futhermore in webtoon my fav season was summer the love story between somang and haemin but the actress that played the role of somang was so irretated to me and the male actor's skills was nothing special... BUT i really liked the couple of bomi and jiyoung , they really gave it all and i am so happy for that.

If you have not read the webtoon yet, you should do it nowww cuz it is the best !

I reccomend you to watch this kdrama without high expectations if you have read the webtoon first ,but the plot is somehow the same so do not worry.

Nice story , bad performances

A nice drama , with funny and touchy moments. The drama is seperated in two pieces.

Firstly ,the love story which concerns teenagers were really well made. I like it from the very beggining till the end. However , all the male actors who performed like teenagers were not good enough most of the times. Hope they get better in the future.

The second story concerns teacher's first love and the dramatic story around them. In this part, I was expecting something better. It feels that the plot had prespectives to be better. However , the boy were so deadpan and he hadn't chemistry with the teacher.

To sum up , it was a nice try with good plot, funny dialogues , and many moral messages , but the bad performances made it seems poor.

Pick a Season

The only valid play here is the nostalgic journey of the female lead and her middling experience of loss. The drama was overloaded with too many trite moments and rundown turns, using molds from far too many clones of its genre. What initially seemed to be promising characters quickly turned into one-dimensional archetypes with limited emotional attachment that gradually weathered away as it got deeper. The dialogues were mostly stiff accompanied by an obnoxious OST. The students from the present were straight up insufferable. Its cinematography was decent, yet it didn't substitute for the hollowness in the text. The cast presented a mixed bag of performances with the teen cast members being mostly awkward and stiff. Although it was short, the drama had some potential if it were to take the more serious route to better fit its themes rather than being excessively bubbly and sentimental.
