Joe is Romantic fiction Love story
vijayssait15 January 2024
If there's one word that can be apt to define Joe, it's decent. For a film involving college life and youth, it is a very mindful film that gets its political messaging right. It treats its female characters with respect, and even when its protagonist uses verbal abuse, he's quickly corrected.

While watching the movie, I didn't feel lazy at all, and I didn't think it had any bad aspects. The acting is excellent, and the music is fantastic. The movie is going to touch your heart and might even try to bring tears to your eyes. One of the gems of Tamil cinema, and I'm not sure I fully agree that it's the main picture for the lead actor just yet. This is also a great movie that gives you a positive feeling. You can watch this with your family, your significant other, or even your frie

The music is amazing and creates an incredible atmosphere. Kindly continue making films such as these. The movie is unique among other movies and not at all like other movies.

Nice love stories
vsurisuresh19 January 2024
The story is good and not boring any more. Everyone involved their characters to satisfy us. The sunpenses are good and we can't expect that. When we are compared 2 halfs, first half is very good and love story. But the second half little bit lag and no story. We can see unwanted characters and involved in the second half. Hero and heroin acting is very good and the second heroin's acting is bit elogant. The climax is superb which we couldn't expect. Because of the climax we can give the marks. In the middle of the moview, we can see the mother sentiment which will attract every one. We can St it's a message oriented movie in the present days.

"JOE" A feel good romantic movie. M.Siraj review for the Tamil Film "JOE"
rafathsiraj3 December 2023
"JOE" A feel good romantic movie My review for the Tamil Film "JOE" Director Hariharan Ram gave clean depiction of college romance, egoistic fights among lovers, and the attitudes youngsters who became partners in an unwilling marriage, by narrating the romance of a young man who is in love with his college mate how ends in heartbreak. Finding romance after suffering heartbreak with first love isn't a fresh trope in Tamil Cinema, here director attempts recite a romantic tale in a sensible and engaging manner without the feeling of recurrence.

The plot revolves around Joe (Rio Raj) who falls in love with his classmate Sujithra (Malavika Manoj), in college. Even though the Malayali girl reciprocates, the romance is doomed, eventually, Joe marries Shruti (Bhavya Trikha), a strong-willed woman, who isn't ready to accept him as her husband because of the shudder from her own past.

First half of the film is filled with love and friendship scenes, the scenes adjacent to the break and the emotional scenes director made it have a relevant impact. The mental struggle of the couples (both have a previous history of love failure) who cohabit in a late involuntary marriage is displayed in maturity with both their feelings and justifications equally important. After Rio Raj, the hero survives a suicide attempt, the verses in which his father and mother speak to him separately are hooked as a gripping message against suicidal moods of youngsters. As the film gets serious, the occasional natural humour lightens the mood of the audience while the portrayal of female characters and their feelings have been handled with dignity is really praiseworthy.

Rio Raj is perfect for all ages-School student, college youth, and married. He has done an incredible job in emotional scenes. How do the couple rediscover happiness, director Hariharan Ram narrates this tale with earnestness, audience to have they-must-get-together feeling, supported with Siddu Kumar's background score to do the heavy lifting. Even though there is a slight lagging in the second half, the director manages to get the audience engaged with scenes that register quite strongly, like the scene where Joe's mother talks emotionally about her love at first sight.

If there's one word that can be apt to define Rio Raj, it's decent, for a film involving college life and youth, a very mindful film that attracts the youngsters, highly appreciable aspect is, it treats its female characters with respect, and even when its protagonist uses verbal abuse, he's quickly corrected by his mother, hats off to the director to capture the love scenes without any vulgarity, aptly suitable for the entire family to watch the film with a never expected twist at the end.

The screenplay is packed with the necessary lively and emotional moments and the iconic ideas that make you smile, a story that we are all familiar with and is based on a love story that has happened in some form in all of our lives. The first half starts off with a bit of fun and ends with a heartwarming interlude. The second half of the film starts off with new life-filled scenes and the film goes on a very positive course, a fulfilling feel good movie with an unexpected twist at the end. The climax scene, which is particularly unexpected for anyone, is the biggest strength of the film to shore up the film with audience. Though it is a romantic film that we have already seen many times, the visuals and screenplay structure are brushed and reinforced by the music of the film, giving a perfect blend of emotions wherever you want to laugh, wherever you want to cry, wherever you want to be moved, giving the feeling of having seen a full-length family movie.

This film gave us a positive feeling that a help that we have done in the course of our life and later when we are at the wits end, that help turns our life upside down and makes us travel in a different direction and that life becomes our favourite model.

Finally, special mention to the Director who casts, a homely new actress from Kerala, Malavika Manoj with her innocent mannerisms who captured the attention of the audience, an unconventional performance, expressing her emotions in superb manner for any scenes she appears. Malavika is the perfect choice for the heroine who came to Coimbatore to study from Kerala, her clear acting, beautiful dialogues and elegance facial expression have lifted the character, which is a huge plus to add edge to the film, ensuring a potential girl to reign the Tamil films in the near future.

In short, the Film Joe is must watch movie to be seen with family at theatre.

A brilliant story line played by skilled actors. Rio, the protagonist along with 2 other female protagonist have give their best to make it a wonderful peace of art that connects to us! Apart from them, their friends', family and other crew actors have also brought life to the film. Special mention to the costume and music department which has enhanced their elegance to the film. A very much required topic to this generation it coveys! Suicide isn't the solution we should face the problem and about love. Most of the youngsters fail to understand difference between love and lust and they fall in wrong trap! Personally liked this film .All together its a feel good movie! Must watch film.

A one-time watchable Romantic entertainer
vijaykarthickvk16 January 2024
Joe is a kind of coming of age romantic movie with some flaws. The very first scene that happens during Joe's school time makes the audience puzzled, and somewhat it is predictable that this scene gonna connect to the climax. The first half of the movie moves well as the college and graduation life of Joe whereas, the second half moves as the marriage life of Joe. First half engages as a rom-com with very less unwanted scenes. But the second half travels without any point. Positives of the movies are those performances by the lead actors and the screenplay which doesn't make us feel bored in any of the scenes. Cinematography gives even more chillness to the movie. Music are decent enough in both Songs and BG. That culturals songs could have been avoided. Negatives of the movies are the characters that are introduced in the second half without any writing depth, including the second heroine Shruthi's character. The characters pain and past doesn't make us feel for her. Only the watchman character connects, but at what cost??? Even the major lose that happens to the protagonist in the middle of the movie doesn't impacts hard to the audience. This movie is a feel good movie but the lethargic writting makes it an average one. Writing could have been even better.

A mixture of Tamil & Malayalam classic Romantic Movies
sarath-491932 May 2024
I was looking for feel good movies then someone suggested me about this but when i end watching this I realised it's a copy of many hit malayalam and tamil movies ,you can watch 96,Hridayam,Premam,Rajarani and GVM's movies like VTV,V1000 all in two and a half hours .There is a sequance hero was scared of proposing his clg crush which is exactly similar to 97 and reversed the plot of premam with Malayali girl and Tamil Hero all those onam celebration sequance and Hero's reaction after first heroines death was a frame by frame copy of premam and the hero comes to alapuzha to see her was from VTV and then a zone hero was going through pain which was copied from V1000 and here comes the 2nd half is all scratched from Rajarani.

Did the writer have any shame left? Pathetic.

I loved him watching... also, matched his wife Name... more connected ... must watch movie.. fans will enjoy.. current students also have a wonderful college time movie for them. Urugi urugi song was the top most ... no dramatic dialogues... they just speak through their actions... which is still more beautiful.

Climax is so satisfying , also only the last 1 hour is good.
adhil-671269 March 2024
The movie is a really feel good flick , but only the last 1 hour.. first 1 and a half hour is full of unnecessary scenes and boring.. they could've cut that down , and shorten it.. i was skipping all those scenes, but after the first half it was so interesting. That's the life i always wish for.. finally, the moto of the film is suicide is not a good decision, but it is wrong for this movie... A major change in story would've happened and the satisfying climax would've lost.. anyway i liked the movie a lot (last 1 hour is the soul of the movie , and for me thats the movie ..) ignore the 1st half..

Movie with right flow
jingersatuh29 January 2024
In the enchanting realm of cinematic artistry, where emotions unfurl like petals in a blooming garden, let us delve into the tapestry of a feel-good romantic Tamil film, "JOE," orchestrated by the maestro of storytelling, Director Hariharan Ram. With finesse and a pristine touch, he unravels the delicate threads of college romance, navigates the tempest of egoistic clashes between lovers, and explores the intricacies of young hearts entangled in the web of an unwilling marriage.

Behold, a tale spun with the tenderness of rose petals, wherein a young man named Joe (played by the versatile Rio Raj) finds his heart ensnared by the ethereal charm of his college mate, Sujithra (embodied by the enchanting Malavika Manoj). Alas, their love, though reciprocated, is destined for a heartbreak, and Joe's path takes an unexpected turn as he enters into matrimony with the formidable Shruti (portrayed by the talented Bhavya Trikha). Yet, her heart remains impervious to his affections, haunted by the specters of her own past.

The initial act of this cinematic symphony unfolds in the hallowed halls of love and friendship, adorned with scenes that echo the melodies of affection. Director Ram, like a skilled maestro, conducts emotional crescendos, leaving an indelible impact on the receptive hearts of the audience. The mental tumult of a couple, scarred by the wounds of past love failures, forced into a late, involuntary union, is portrayed with maturity, their feelings and justifications weaving a tapestry of poignant emotion.

In the crucible of adversity, Joe, our resilient hero, survives the abyss of a suicide attempt. The verses wherein his father and mother, like guardians of solace, speak to him separately, serve as a gripping message against the melancholy that shrouds the hearts of our youth. As the narrative intensifies, a sprinkling of natural humor becomes the balm that lightens the collective mood of the audience.

Noteworthy is the director's laudable treatment of female characters, elevating their portrayal with dignity and respect. The commendable aspect is the film's mindfulness, even in the face of verbal storms, where the protagonist's untoward expressions are swiftly corrected by the voice of maternal wisdom. Kudos to Director Ram for capturing love scenes with an artful finesse, devoid of vulgarity, making the film eminently suitable for familial viewing, culminating in an unexpected twist that crowns the cinematic endeavor.

Rio Raj, the epitome of decency, transcends age demographics, embodying the essence of a School student, college youth, and a man bound in matrimony. His impeccable portrayal in emotional scenes is a testament to his acting prowess. Director Hariharan Ram, with unwavering earnestness, navigates the labyrinth of rediscovering happiness in the couple's journey, accentuated by Siddu Kumar's background score, a symphony that bears the weight of emotional crescendos.

Although a faint shadow of lagging graces the second half, Director Ram masterfully reengages the audience with scenes that resonate deeply, such as the soul-stirring moment when Joe's mother recounts her love at first sight. In the tapestry of words, if there's one that befits Rio Raj, it is 'decent,' a testament to his portrayal in a film that explores the tapestry of college life and youth. The film's commendable treatment of female characters, coupled with its capacity to attract and engage the younger audience, stands as a beacon of cinematic achievement.

The screenplay, a mosaic of vibrant and emotional moments, unfolds like a cherished love letter. It is imbued with iconic ideas that evoke smiles and tell a story universally familiar-a tale of love that has echoed in the corridors of all our lives. The first half, a tapestry of joy and heartwarming interludes, segues seamlessly into the second, brimming with new scenes teeming with life. The film embarks on a positive trajectory, culminating in a fulfilling cinematic experience, punctuated by an unexpected twist that adds a poetic resonance.

The climax, an unexpected revelation, unfolds as the film's pièce de résistance, a testament to its strength in captivating the audience. Though rooted in the familiar terrain of romantic narratives, the film transcends clichés through the visual poetry of its cinematography and the structural elegance of its screenplay. The musical score, a harmonious accomplice, weaves a perfect blend of emotions, invoking laughter, tears, and moments of profound introspection, akin to a journey through the entire spectrum of familial emotions.

In the vast cinematic panorama, "JOE" imparts a positive feeling akin to the gentle touch of benevolence, akin to a helping hand that, in moments of life's trials, turns our course and propels us toward uncharted destinations-life's favorite enigma. In a special tribute to Director Hariharan Ram, who cast the charming Malavika Manoj, a homely actress from Kerala, with her innocent mannerisms captivating the audience. Her unconventional performance, expressive emotions, and elegant facial expressions elevate the character, hinting at the potential for her to reign over Tamil cinema in the near future.

In summation, "JOE" is more than a film; it is a cinematic soiree, a must-watch spectacle for families in the hallowed halls of the theater. Let the emotions unfurl, let the laughter resound, for in this tale, unexpected twists await, and love, like a guiding star, illuminates the screen.

"Joe"
indzlatan16 January 2024
"Joe" takes audiences on a rollercoaster of emotions, navigating the highs and lows of love in a tale that is equal parts captivating and perplexing. The film's first half is a delightful journey into the blossoming romance between the male lead, Joe, and the female protagonist. The chemistry between the characters is palpable, and the storyline keeps you engaged.

However, the initial charm begins to wear thin as the plot introduces some irrationalities that may leave viewers scratching their heads. The unexpected death of the female lead adds a tragic twist to the narrative, amplifying the emotional rollercoaster. Unfortunately, the film takes a nosedive in the second half, leaving much to be desired.

The decision to have Joe marry a new character feels like a slap in the face to the beautiful love story established in the first half. The introduction of the new female lead brings a wave of cringe-worthy moments, especially as her character appears more arrogant due to her 20 years of one-sided love for an unknown savior.

The climax takes an unexpected turn, revealing that the mysterious savior is none other than Joe himself. This revelation adds an awkward layer to the love story, making the climax one of the cringiest moments in the film. The blooming love between Joe and the new female lead feels forced, and a flashback only adds to the overall sense of disbelief.

Despite a promising start, "Joe" falters in its execution, leaving the audience with mixed feelings. The first half deserves applause for its engaging love story, earning a solid 7 out of 10. However, the second half's shortcomings, filled with cringe-worthy content and an awkward climax, warrant a mere 2 out of 10. Overall, "Joe" is a tale of two halves, with the latter failing to live up to the promise of the former.

I think all the reviews are by film team of this movie
arshadarshad-9858021 January 2024
I watched movie when I see the reviews. But the movies not worth to watch there are more malayalam movies and tamil old movies which good are in story and engaging the audience but it's is not worth to watch honestly leo acting is not good he want to improve himself and movie has no story its not a movie its a trash which I watched . It's like a YouTube video camera quality and all don't take a movie without story . There is a particular scene in bus it's like repeatedly coming ever 5 min in first half and the side character are not good. Dialogs are not good it's like a collage students short filim for the project . It also good then this.

Usual love story!!
sriramthestranger17 March 2024
"Joe" is a heart-wrenching tale of redemption and resilience that leaves a profound impact on its audience. Nicolas Cage delivers a powerhouse performance as the titular character, a troubled ex-con trying to find solace and purpose in a harsh, unforgiving world. The film's raw authenticity and gritty realism are brought to life through its evocative cinematography and haunting soundtrack. With its powerful narrative and standout performances, "Joe" is a cinematic tour de force that lingers in the mind long after the credits roll.

The 2 female characters have performed well. But certain portions of the film look far fetched.

One of the most boring movie
ananthragi14 May 2024
The movie is copy of Premam, hridayam, Autograph, Arjun reddy and many more. Novice direction and screenplay. Don't trust the rating and waste your time. Its hard to sit through the movie.

Music and editing department tried hard to save this substandard product.

The plot line should exist in the 90s or early 2000s. Watching it in 2024 is laughing stock. The dialogues are vaguely written. In most cases the same dialogue repeats and lacks any creativity.

Don't know why the movie is hyped? Someone has to really justify the rating.

Finally can watch Premam once again instead of watching this. Y.
