Land of Opportunity

Warning: Spoilers
The show remains an easy watch and is easy to get through, but some of the cases they have given us this season have absolutely no imagination or thought put into them whatsoever. We needed something a lot more than we got here.

I do feel like they have the right group of cops and attorneys though. This is something they really struggled with during the later years of the original run, but it seems like they have a good mix. Even the "detective" who just gets to stare at security footage feels like an upgrade thus far from who it was last season to who it is now in that role. Not something to brag about maybe?

Rich Get Richer and Poor Gets Poorer

Warning: Spoilers
How an immigrant that is homeless is found murdered and that there is a rich arrogant and somewhat racist man that is the prime suspect there.

We got to see in the ADA there as her name has in the escaping me there. She has in the speaking a different language and has a soft spot over for children there. With one single mom who tried to escape her predicament there with her daughter.

ICE wants to get them deported as they are in the looked upon as property as McCoy makes a deal or tries to with the feds for their testimony against that rich arrogant white executive to stay in the country.

Sadly it is all bittersweet and will not spoil the ending.

Controversial
safenoe7 February 2024
Warning: Spoilers
Dylan Baker, very famous for his role in the movie Happiness (directed by Todd Solondz), plays Defense Attorney Sanford Rems in this controversial episode that deals with a controversial topic at the moment with bussing and all. Coincidentally, Camryn Manheim, one of the Law and Order regulars, also starred in Happiness.

One must give credit to the writers for trying to deal with the big issues of the day, but trying to do so in the regular structure of the series, well I'm not so sure. Anyway, that's the way it is, and the ending was very bittersweet with betrayal and all that was very bittersweet.

I absolutely LOVE this show!!

I am really excited that they brought back the original L&O!! I loved that Bernard could and did reign Cosgrove in when needed, but I REALLY love Shaw's character!!! I look forward to watching this every episode!!! Of course, Jack McCoy is one of the best characters ever. I really love that the original L&O sticks to the show timeline that has worked for them for so many years-investing the crime, interrogations, arrests and following through with the trial and the verdict. SVU has pulled away from the successful show outline oftentimes, and Organized Crime doesn't attempt to go there, successfully across the board! 🤓
