This show is far from perfect, but so far this season it feels like a return to old-school laugh-track sitcoms here and that is all we can ask for. Mary hiding her boyfriend by pretending it was depression and a new family member coming in, this all felt like the kind of scenes we would see on the original Roseanne series.
Not the most laughs, but the episode did not feel like a chore to get through, something plaguing this series most of Season 4.
I have a feeling this might be the last year for The Conners and an end to multiple generations watching this family grow up, but at least we can enjoy the ride as long as it goes.
