Life imitating art.
Sleepin_Dragon24 December 2023
Mrs Sidhu provides the catering at a convention for a fantasy show, as soon as she gets into the swing of things, one of the show's leading actors is found dead, Mrs Sidhu is once again on hand to assist Thr Police.

It's like Midsomer Murders with a twist, Midsomer Murders from about 15 years back, when they used to be bags of fun, and quite light, this episode has those vibes.

I am absolutely loving the combination of Meera Syal and Craig Parkinson, who ever would have thought thr pair would make such an awesome duo, but they are exactly that, they have a real chemistry, they're just a joy to watch, he's frustrated by her, but admires her.

Mrs Sidhu is such a charming character, she's smart, nosey, but there's definitely a little bit of sadness there.

Bumping the wonderful Sara Stewart off so early though, mean.

8/10.

Better than episode 1
SunnyDaise24 October 2023
I'm not a huge fan of the first episode, but like the set up so decided to try the second episode as debuts can often be a bit clunky. Like many shows, instalment two is indeed better. It is still a little bit sexualised, but toned down. On the face of it, I've nothing much in common with Mrs Sidhu, but so many issues are woven into her life, that I can identify with something here and there. Although most generations have some level of technology literacy these days, it changes faster than ever, so it is accurate to see the problems and divisions it causes. This episode filled the two-hour time slot better.
