Extremely broad political comedy

SILENT BUT DEADLY is a woefully bad broad comedy, made in America in the 1980s. It's about an American president who is black, Jewish, and female, so you just know that cultural stereotypes are going to be the order of the day here. The whole film seems to consist of fun being poked at the different cultures as featured during an international crisis conference.

It all feels more than a little racist, not to mention dated due to the non-existent production values. My personal cinematic bugbears are unfunny comedies and this is certainly such a production. It's very earnest and very over the top, with exaggerated dialogue throughout, and is so cheap as to be difficult to watch. The random musical numbers don't help much either.
