Hardcore look at trying to break the cycle of the dope game from a fathers perspective after serving 20 years in prison. B*tches, drugs, guns, drama--but from a different perspective. Excellent piece. I love how they go back and fourth on the time line displaying artfully subtle character development and creating a bond with the audience not seen before. The important/ significance of family, loyalty, friends, betrayal, redemption and a fathers love--all nice and neatly packaged together in a seamless setting. I also enjoyed how each of the characters brought their own style and charisma--as well as the acting being on point!
