OMG I did not see that coming!

Warning: Spoilers
This is, in my opinion is the best episode in all the Chicago One shows! This team is so cohesive, collectively partners that create a balance of very realistic characters with tough decisions to make and under a great deal of stress. Best of all is Jason Beghe. Regardless of his methods he gives it his all, he is all in. So believable with tons of heart. I must add the character of Anna could not have been handled any better, by anyone. She was so believable I could feel what she must have been struggling with every episode. Brava! Well done.

However, when Jay finds Hailey lying on her back after the explosion, how does blood trickle up towards the sky from her ear? I believe gravity would show blood dribbles down toward the ground, not up.

Raw Emotions
jimspencer727 May 2022
This has to be #1 in season ending episodes for all drama shows out there! Tough guy Hank, a powerful enemy as well as friend is basically brought to hi knees in this one. His steely exterior gives way to loss that he cannot control, ending in a victory that is only half the battle that he FOUGHT. An emotional ending for him that he will live with for a long long time. His humanity was exposed for all to see, after all, he is human, isn't he?

Will Hank's Antics Come Back to Haunt Him?!
shelbythuylinh28 May 2022
Warning: Spoilers
He is not so emotional despite being a gruff father figure. But still with his CI that is Confidential Informant there, Anna and how she is pulled on all sides and trying to do this for her own child.

To take down a dangerous store owner that is a front for drug dealing and corruption there. How that all sides are nearing their breaking point.

Really will Voight's actions come back to haunt him in season 10? We shall see as this is tops there!!

Please in season 10,,,a little but important request, more Trudy please!!??

HANK VOIGHT
Mahajke2326 May 2022
Amazing acting by jason beghe. He showed us that hank voight is the reason this show is so good. In my opinion hank is the greatest TV character ever created. I had only one problem with the episode and that was hailey upton. I think it's time the writers replace her.

Among the best episodes of Chicago PD
BirdmanT728 May 2022
The only reason I watch this show is because of one actor "Jason Beghe", there is no Chicago PD without him. The built up of this year's show with the new character CI Anna Avalos was done very gradual and nicely. I had never seen Carmela Zumbado in any shows prior; her performance was far superior to most of the cast of this show like "Tracy Spiridakos" who is just as bad or worse than "Sophia Bush".

This episode really surprised me, mostly because of the relationship and the tension between Voight and Anna. I remember in episode 16 (Closer) when Anna was at Voight's house, what felt like Anna was reaching out to Voight because she felt she was being used, then Voight asked her "what is it you want? And the look in Anna's eyes when she finds out that Voight has no family and no son, when he tells her all he has left is the job, was probably among the best scenes between Voight and Anna. I think Anna was reaching out because she also felt she had no one. This was the first time ever in the history of this show that for a brief moment I felt some hope for Voight to allow himself to get closer to someone like Anna.

I didn't understand the ending, why Hailey had to shoot Anna?..but then be on top of her to keep her alive.?.. She could have shot Anna in the shoulder or disarmed her, that scene didn't make sense?. I guess the decision was already made that Anna was going to be off the show, but the only character that really needs to be killed off this show is "Haily Upton", who is utterly useless and Tracy Spiridakos can't act to save her life. Anna could have become a regular character on this show, I could even see her relationship between Voight and her, but to kill her was a big mistake.

Voight
Lythas_8526 May 2022
Warning: Spoilers
He has lost his edge years ago and became a boyscout.. specially with halstead hailey.. oh my that one is so annoying.. if it is a case where there is a foster child being abused or whatever the case may be that she relates to, she goes wild, break rules, rushes to the scene and oh my god forgives if jake dares to cross her path and get in her way... but when the show is on the other foot, she gets preachy and nags..

i think everybody thought ana was going down, one way or another, may it be by the bad guys hand or ... i thought hank was the one who should have done it.. somehow, shooting her to protect himself.. not hailey.. that was very anticlimatic... and i agree with user mahajke23.. the problem with the show now i hailey upton.
