Every time I think I'm done, Grey's pulls me back in.
taralynnemurray27 May 2022
I'll never not watch this show because I've watched it from the beginning. In the time since it first aired, I got married, had a daughter, got divorced, and got engaged.

I've spent 17 years of my life with Meredith Grey, Richard Weber, Miranda Bailey. I still miss Izzy, Alex, Cristina, Callie, Arizona, and even Burke, like I actually know them and I mourned Denny, George, Lexie, Mark, and Derek the same exact way.

I'd be lying if I said I didn't watch a few of the recent seasons out of pure obligation and an insatiable need to see it through. However, last night's episode was an emotional roller coaster of a reminder of precisely how perfect this show can be.

As long as there's a Grey's Anatomy, I'll be a viewer.

This brought all the everything
tmh9830 May 2022
Twists and turns that would give you whiplash. I've been a faithful follower since the start. Oh sure I yell at the TV a lot. And I am completely guilty of threatening to stop watching, especially after certain cliffhangers. But this, THIS is the reason I still watch. This episode had me feeling seven different kinds of "what the hell??" However, this wasn't your run of the mill shock value. This was lies, betrayal, love, stress, mistakes and sadness. Something for everyone. For me, seeing the wheels come off after all this time, was impressive. Just enough different things, seemingly not connected, all came together in one perfect storm. I don't want to give spoilers, so I will just say this. The way they addressed a variety of ways that this world is broken, broke my heart to watch. Because there was way more truth than fiction in this episode. I did rewind and watch that episode sequence again, and that gave me so many feels. I think of all that's happened in my life during the run of this show and cannot believe how much time has passed. Very nostalgic. And I can say that I'm glad I never bailed. My loyalty remains intact. This was def the best episode I've seen in a very, very long time. It'll be interesting to see how they will kick off the next season.

Holy moly!

I loved all the covers of the classic OG Grey's Anatomy songs to get us in the right reflective mood! Aside from the weird/fake baby (but I get it, we're still not out of the woods with the pandemic), the highs and lows hit all the right note! I agree with my fellow reviewers who took the time to write something about this top-shelf episode. As a viewer since the beginning (and having rewatched the first 10 seasons), this is one of the best episodes. Because it reminds me why this show, despite its flaws, is like an old friend that I just want to be around, because I know it (its characters and stories) so well, and I want to continue to be a part of the journey. Keep up the good work!

One of the best episodes of Grey's ever. Feelings so nostalgic with all of the archive footage. Deserving of a 400th episode! Makes me want to start over again from the beginning lol.

Beyond the beyond
estathena227 May 2022
Having watched the series from the beginning and survived the dramatic - if not traumatic losses, this season was true-to-form with its tumultuous end and the questions it leaves unanswered, its lose ends seemingly a drift in a sea of uncertainty.

An emotional look back at the past to a familiar tune - Where Does The Good Go?" as we step into the unknown with them hoping we can just dance it out toward a little happiness, find a little peace, and maybe if we're lucky a little love.

Warning: Spoilers
Gut wrenching. GUT. WRENCHING.

This is one of those episodes that will stick with you, that's for sure. From Simon giving his life for his son, but getting to see him before he died. His last words being "Hello Forever". (I only wish they'd have taken video of it for mom/baby in the future.) Then of course we have Teddy and Owen on the lam for Owen having been outed for provided life ending medication (earlier in the season) to a veteran. Miranda is watching her program go down the hole.

But there's one nice snippet: April and Jackson make an appearance. Miranda threw April into "The Pit" and maybe, just maybe, this gives us hope of her return?

This was one hell of a season finale.

Top 10
brandonnaatz27 May 2022
This is definitely one of the top 10 best episodes of the series. This shows Grey's still has life left and this cliffhanger completely shakes up the entire plot and every character. I cannot wait for next season. Episode 400 was so beautiful and shows grey's deserved to still be here!

Wow
eeswilliams1 June 2022
This episode had everything I wanted. It really brought back the emotion of the earlier seasons, which the show desperately needed. I had been watching this season out of obligation to the series (didn't want to give up after 17 seasons) and this single episode made it all worth it. I really hope season 19 lives up to the standards this episode set!!

Wow. I've been watching this show from the beginning, and this is one of the most emotional episodes of the series. I literally have to sit in silence and take in all of the feels. Bravo to the writers of this season finale. And to the actors who continue to make me love fictional characters!

Hypocrites!
rock_on_girl14 June 2022
Warning: Spoilers
So Meredith decided to move to Minnesota with the first man she has loved since Derek and Richard and Bailey called her selfish for abandoning the place that raised her... but then at the end of the episode Richard is going traveling with Catherine and Bailey ups and quits! Thus abandoning the place that raised them! I was absolutely furious with Bailey. I'm sick of her character. Other than that, it was a great episode with a lot of flash backs to earlier seasons! Also hoping that Owen and Teddy don't come back!

Start over
ncarolines16 August 2022
That is some solid advise. Make this the end of this. Either start over and make it great again, or put Grey to the grave, and make a completely new show. Just. Start over.

I think maybe we all can just agree that this was the last episode ever. Just pretend there will be no season 19.

Japril
rochipop27 May 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Let's face it, the whole series doesn't make any sense and now every character is leaving???

The only reason i've watched this season is because they announced japril was going to be in it and it was the highlight of the episode, of the season even. I've been waiting at least 4 years for this to happen.

I can't wait for it to finish and for the writers to stop making more and more ridiculous plot lines.

Goosebumps
laurenwood-8646420 July 2022
This is the first time Grey's Anatomy has given me goosebumps in around 8 years. There's love, sadness, SO MUCH drama, humour, tears... it had everything.

Perfect use of music, brilliant use of flashbacks, and proof that there's life in the old dog yet. Do I miss past characters and care less for the current ones? Of course. But this was the strongest season finale in years.

Great episode
izabellehaidar8 June 2022
Honestly, I watch the new seasons out of obligation. The last couple of seasons hasn't really been enjoyable. But I've really liked this season and I have LOVED this last episode. Hope the next season keeps up with this episode's level.

I was rooting for everyone
flamebilyue-8365419 February 2023
Warning: Spoilers
This episode kept me on my toes on literally in the edge of my seat. It's like everyone was right and everyone was wrong. My sympathy for the characters was gut wrenching. I like the flashbacks. They were well placed making feel like I was right there going through what they were going and why the choices were hard but made sense given what they all had gone through together before.

Seeing Ellis and Derek show up repeatedly as Meredith world hated to save a life of a patient she didn't need to work on so soon made me feel dizzy. Which I think was on purpose. Seeing April and Jackson make an appearance to help save the hospital and comfort Catherine was a treat. Seeing snapshots of scenes from early days of the show made me teary-eyed. How they are going to save the hospital let alone top this episode I have no idea. But I'll be back for more.

Woo woo!!

Warning: Spoilers
JAPRIL!!! I am SO GLAD what I had hoped came true!! One of my all time favorite Grey couples - and they have a happily ever after!

As for the rest of the episode - it was intense and dramatic and all the best parts of GA. I am very concerned for Owen and Teddy - but what a great story line. As for Meredith? I love where her story is going and I'm hoping next season will be as awesome as this last episode was.

I started watching GA again because I heard Harry Shum Jr. Was joining Season 19 - therefore - I needed to catch up!! I'm so excited to see what he brings to his new role and I will continue to love this show. :)

I've watched every single episode
lollipoppynz4 June 2022
... and this one had me shouting at the screen!

I loved every second of it. The tying up of some stories we've been following for weeks, the OMG what is going to happen new stories. As usual there were tears. I've loved this for 18 years. I hope it never ends. Goodness only knows where the next series will go.

Like the old days
irissophiaxx28 January 2024
Last seasons hadn't moved me as much. This episode took me years back. Very emotional and exactly that kind of complex trauma that makes you feel very 'connected' to the characters. Beautiful how a whole life can be so connected to a place, which makes it a great serie. Exactly the kind of episode that made me watch greys 100 times over. I grew up with greys (I am 27), and it always gives me a feeling of nostalgia. This episode was nostalgia and emotions. Very well. In terms of what happend, I feel that Mer is not being treated with the respect and gratitude she deserves but the 'injustice' makes it realistic and human as well. Maybe I'll just quit watching after this amazing end episode.
