Pirate costumes arrive for the annual school production, "Peter Pan". Miss Bottomly picks John to play the part of Captain Hook. He studies his part at home with his family, also involved in the play's production. Arrangements are made for the local TV station to air part of the play. Miss Bottomly switches the role of Peter Pan to Little John, creating a major conundrum in the impossibility of being both roles at once.
