I love MST3k and I'll admit I have never really warmed up to Rifftrax or CinemaTitanic all that much, they are just off from the original show, but I do take time off from my weekly MST3k watching to view a Rifftrax episode from time to time and I was looking forward to this one, but it just doesn't work. They rip on Shatner FAR too much, he's a beloved celeb that many geeks such as myself admire. An occasional riff at his expense is cool, they did it on MST3k every once in awhile but they were a bit too harsh in this film and it took me right out of the enjoyment. They seem to be increasing their social justice comments too which is getting annoying, cramming them into the riffs when they don't even need to be there or make sense. I guess I'll go back to the well and watch Mystery Science Theater.
