If their is one case and story that was chilling and stuck out to me over the years from the classic "NBC", "Unsolved Mysteries" series with late legendary Robert Stack it was the strange, sad, and scary one of the 1980 "Texas UFO" sighting! Wow what an encounter, no matter what the doubters and non believers think I believe that the now both late Betty Cash and Vickie Landrum did see something crazy and strange in the Texas sky. On Dec. 29, 1980 about 9PM after an evening dinner Betty, Vickie and Vick's grandson were driving home on a Texas backroad on the outskirts of Houston, when all of a sudden the night sky lit up with bright lights and the glow continued to get closer to their car, after Betty stopped she got out of the car and noticed the diamond shaped object floating above soon after getting back in the car and being burned by the door handle several helicopters appeared to fly away with the object. A local police officer who was in the area noticed the same group of copters in the nearby area sky. Soon hours later all three of them Betty, Vickie and Vick's grandson started to fill hot, weak, ill and sick. Betty had been affected the most after getting out of the car looking up at the night sky and object. The conditions did not improve all of them believed the federal government to be behind this incident and they even asked the military and air force for help on medical bills and their request would be denied plus a federal judge refused to hear their lawsuit against the U. S. government! So sad that this Dec. Winter night encounter changed the lives of Betty and Vickie forever, I tend to side with the UFO investigator either they saw an alien "UFO" craft, or it was perhaps an unknown experiment from the U. S. military or federal government! Such an interesting and memorable case! As the radiation exposure would change the trio of lives forever.
