A monumentally frustrating episode that underlines the chasm of reality that exists between the writers and the viewers:The writers believe that people should feel sorry for Paul and that Susan is always right, when neither of these things is true.Scenes of Paul sitting around feeling sorry for himself just provoke a response of "Who cares?"Susan bullying and threatening Kate into turning herself in to the police like she's some paradigm of moral virtue makes for extremely uncomfortable viewing and make Rebecca's effective betrayal of Kate all the more obvious.
The only saving grace in this episode is Natasha, who remains completely tactless but also a genuinely deep character who is clearly concerned for Michael.Their bonding moments together, and her going to Lucas for advice, are really rather sweet.
