Ralph the Abuser
Hitchcoc5 January 2018
It is pretty amazing that a New Yorker who is used to criminal activity and con-men, who works at a blue collar job, could be such a patsy. instead of enjoying Paris, the guys are set upon by counterfeiters, exchanging all their money for phony Francs. Of course, they end up in the slammer, with a huge language barrier. There is something about their utter stupidity which makes it hard to be sympathetic. Also, it wears thin when Ralph blames everything on his wife. Especially his own schemes.

Quaint but sad

The worst part of watching this is seeing the dance routine and song about the residents "Cleaning-up Paris for the rich American visitors"... I don't think anybody has cleaned up Paris since this episode's original air date. The episode is overdone and seems forced at times. It is pushed over the edge by all the singing,I am glad THAT never caught on and became a regular thing...(shudder) Definitely worth watching, despite it not being in my top 10 list of best episodes.
