An OK part one to a cross-over episode, but carrying copious baggage in introducing the new show. The plot is interesting enough, a blend of 'alien sightings' with 'psychopath with explosives'.
This is contrived to introduce a spinoff show starring Niecy Nash as trainee FBI agent Simone "Mary Sue" Clark. She drives like a nascar stunt driver, is as caring as Mother Teresa and insightful as Sherlock Holmes.
A well-performed first outing for the character but the 'practically-perfect-in-every-way' and the preachy polemic need dialling back.
Part two will shed further light, though I am sure to watch the new show to see how it settles down.
