It's an interesting show, I speak as someone who used to be thirty stone, fortunately I managed to turn things round. I was very keen to see what this series had to say. I'm all for body positivity, truly, and I know better than anyone how hard life can be, people staring, worrying about clothes, worrying about seats on buses, and I understand that people can still be healthy and be large.
What worried me somewhat, is that the messaging throughout was positive, and that's great, but there's always a flip side, I wish they had focused a little more on the challenges, and that being large can be incredibly hard, mentally and physically.
Some cracking people here, and I love the way they all e!brace their lives, what does concern me is that it felt it normalised obesity, that worries me.
It's worth a look, you see I'm part, what life's like for someone larger.
7/10.
