Sex & Nudity

  • A woman gives a man a brief but surprising kiss in the mouth.

Violence & Gore

  • During the opening scene, a man uses his whip against three male slaves.
  • Two boys are pulled in their ears, and dragged by a man.
  • Several scenes have some male characters playing swordfighting, first with wooden swords, and later with real swords.
  • Two boys begin to fight after a swordplay. This is all played for fun.
  • A man is hit by a falling sack, and struggles to get loose from it. This scene is made as a comic relief.
  • A man is thrown into a prison cell.
  • A leopard attempts to attack a man, when another man throws a stone and hits its right eye.
  • A man puts a fight with a leopard, and hits it once with a wooden object. He later gets scratched in three parts of his body during the fight. The leopard stops the attack for a reason.
  • A man murders another man by strangulating him. Later, a guard uses his rifle to shoot at an innocent man, who's blamed for the murder but gets away unharmed.
  • A man points at another man with a sharp object.
  • Two male characters are chased by multiple armed guards. A woman uses a flower vase to knock down a guard who points his rifle at the two men. The chase continues a little longer.
  • After around 65 minutes into the film, there are several mild battle scenes as a part of the Mexican Independence war. People attack with swords and rifles. Some other people are simply beaten and kicked. There are several explosions as well.
  • Several people are seen having been hurt during battles, but no blood seen.
  • An exhausted man appears to fall unconscious during a snowy day. No violence.

  • Wine is briefly present in the film, but we don't see anyone consuming such drink.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • The murder scene can be upsetting for some little kids.
  • Some battle scenes related to the Mexican Independence war, including later scenes involving blood and death, can be intense since this is an animated film for children.
  • This film has been rated A in Mexico. However, it may have been rated PG-13 because of the violent content and blood if released uncut in USA. If edited, it might have been PG-rated for mild battle violence.

Violence & Gore

  • A man throws a homemade bomb against a bridge, and blows it up. A few people are seen hurt, but no blood seen. A woman remains unconscious for a while, before she suddenly opens her eyes.
  • A man is cut in the head with a sword, resulting with some blood running down his face, and he falls unconscious. A man is punched in the face, resulting with some nosebleed. A man is hit in the face with a stone, resulting with a brief sight of blood drops flying in the air. A man threatens to kill another man with his sword. Two men fight until they fall down from a cliff and die.
  • Several people are executed, by getting shot to death, but there is no blood. This scene can be little bit intense as this is an animated film for kids.
