A great conclusion to the third series
Tweekums14 March 2011
Warning: Spoilers
This episode sees the gripping end to the third series of 'Being Human' which means that several plot strands are tied up and a new one beginning. Having photographed Mitchell it is only a matter of time before the police learn that there is something very strange about him but Herrick turns up at the station in time to rescue him and protect their secret. He doesn't truly trust Mitchell though so takes him to the cage with the intention of forcing him to fight George. Annie meanwhile has returned to purgatory where she meets Lia again and learns that there is no truth in the prophecy that Mitchell will be killed by a 'werewolf shaped bullet'; although it looks as if it might become a self fulfilling prophecy as Herrick goads George into attacking Mitchell.

This episode was one of the best of the series even though there was less action than many episodes; there was however a lot of emotional interaction between the characters which leads up to a shocking conclusion that I won't spoil here! As always the regular cast do a great job and Lacey Turner as Lia and Jason Watkins as Herrick are good in their lesser roles. Like all good series finales I was left wanting more and look forward to the fourth series which I'm sure will be commissioned; the ending certainly implied the makers expect to make more.

An episode I will never be able to rewatch

Warning: Spoilers
Saddest, most heartbreaking episode of the series. Mitchell became my favorite character throughout the last season, and although I knew he would die, I still didn't want it to happen! It's a bittersweet moment, and yes I did cry, but it had to happen. Still, one of the most beautiful moments in the show, all three of the main cast really showed their acting chops. This episode reminded me of their chemistry, and why they all worked so well together! Of course it's disappointing that Mitchell left the show, but in the context of the final season, it made sense, and he got to act his ass off in the process.

One of the best ways to write off a main character in the history of television
mozillameister11 November 2011
Warning: Spoilers
So many shows have gone down this road before...one of the main characters becomes irredeemable and has to be killed off...and they almost always cop out. Sometimes they forget the act ever happened (or go through some elaborate time warp or misc excuse). Other times a cockamamie resolution is in place to make everything squared off (the most common scenario). And sometimes they have the character killed off predictably without redemption.

Not this time...holy $#!t! Even after everything, they STILL manage to salvage his character, and yet STILL make you want the character to die. Not because you hate the character, but because you want the character to have peace. But when it happens, you feel happy.

I can't say anymore, but its just so well executed because its so predictable. After all the twists and turns, you feel just as relieved (and sad) as everyone else that the deed was done. It immerses you.

This is real drama. Real skilled writing. No plot holes, no coverups, no convenient twists. Just straight-up emotion. Its refreshing to finally see a show that actually has the b@lls to do this sort of thing right.

What a disappointment
What a disappointing end to a great series. It was more like an episode of 'Days of Our Lives', shallow, unstructured and has completely lost the plot. Mitchell made the show, the only character with real depth. The others a a little too quirky to hold my interest. With him gone I believe the show will lose any real credibility to those who crave more than tears and sensitivity. Watching Nina and George is akin to something out of Eastenders, there is just no extra dimension to their characters. Annie is interesting from an irritating point of view. She adds something with her extreme naivety, but only in combination with the dark intensity of Mitchell. I will definitely give season 4 a miss based on the low quality of execution of season 3.
