Don't Forget the Mustache Wax

This is a very pleasing, very short (only a couple of minutes), very funny animated subject --- actually it's more of an illustrated guide -- to the fine art of tying a young woman to the railroad tracks after, presumably, she has refused your offer of marriage. It's a modern silent film with some highly appropriate melodramatic music accompanying it.

The style of animation is fairly unusual: it is monochromatic and done in silhouette, with a sort of woodblock feel to it, and uses large masses of black with no details. This ably supports both the humorously antiquated subject of the piece and, undoubtedly, kept down the production costs.

I spotted it on Luke McKiernan's excellent THE BIOSCOPE blog. I hope it becomes more widely available.
