Not His Best
mrdonleone16 October 2022
Vito Acconci was a genius: every new project he undertook was a great work of brilliance showing his capacity to masterly control veery aspect of all filmmaking. Let us think for instance on such marvels in which he yells at the public that he tries to get out of his cellar for an hour and a half, that he wants to push his ex to move a bit in her self-made prison, etcetera. Just thinking back about any of these cinematic gems is enough to make one jump of joy and join the Western Brigade.

Unfortunately, 'The Red Tapes' does not belong to another such title of awe and submission; rather, it's a bunch of nonsense talked together by the man of the hour himself, the great Mister Vito Acconci himself -less than usual, unfortunately, but because of this not any less a work of perfection himself-.
