This is the squeal to "Champion Road" and considering the quick introduction of characters and loose plot there appears to be an assumption that you have either seen the other film, or are used to substandard writing. The characters are introduced grindhouse Dewar's Profile style with just their name and "fighting discipline" printed on the screen.
Solomon (Terrance Parham) runs an illegal fighting game where contestants battle for $1 million dollars to be the toughest person in the world. Weapons are not allowed. Their arena is the city and they have electronic pages to let them know who to fight next. Solomon is not honest in his dealings. Likewise the fighters have their own reasons to enter the arena, such as take down Solomon, rescue their daughter, or avenge the brother no one knew he had. The characters are thrown at us as they fight somebody before the arena battle begins. Many of the fights are short, as in real life, but look choreographed, unlike in real life. The names of the characters tended to be Biblical or pagan gods: Solomon, Moses, Abel, Jupiter, Osiris. Oh yeah, apparently Japanese INTERPOL is on the case...whatever city they are in.
The acting and script are bad. The camera is sometimes on the back of a person's head when they are speaking. Sometimes it is at a distant and the dialogue looks dubbed. Low budget all the way.
If you didn't see or like the first one, I wouldn't recommend this one unless you just like to watch a bunch of martial arts fighting to hip-hop music.
Parental Guide: F-bomb, N-word. No sex, no nudity.
