Shocking development
pauli_gomez3 February 2023
Well, Billie continues her search of the treasure with Jess and her father as her prisoners. But Jess; friends gather together to help her, and they finally got Agent Ross involved. The episode is very interesting with action and some sweet moments.

Then things are set for the next episode, the finale, in a very shocking way. I did not see that happening.

But there is a problem. All the development is dependent of a character doing some stupid things. And there are a couple of plot holes I am not mentioning for not spoiling anything. But really, this show is not the sort of feel-good show I expected to be.

Best episode yet!!

This was an INCREDIBLE episode! It started off rather predictably, but as the story went onward, things started falling into place one by one. I thought that this would be another filler episode and I was wondering how they were going to give all the characters that have been introduced (it seemed, for awhile, too many to accurately keep track of) some actual purpose in the story that would make sense and seem organic. This episode didn't disappoint in bringing things together. I must say, that this biggest bombshell of the season thus far was an absolute genuine SHOCKER and even adds extra context to the original films as well. The very ending scene was tragic, but also cruelly appropriate. I can't wait for the season finale next week!!

Wasn't expecting much out of this show, but...

These last few episodes have been great! This episode especially kept me at the edge of my seat (not a pun). They handled a (albeit leaked) reveal extremely well. An impactful death at the end too, it genuinely hurt me and those watching with me.

This episode has fun moments, tense moments, action, great acting, further character development, if Episode 9 and 10 are going out with a bang, this definitely is starting it.

The show isn't amazing or anything. It has problems, like sometimes the acting is weak, the camerawork can sometimes be wonky (Episode 8s slow motion), maybe too many twists? But it's fun. So kudos, surpassed my expectations. Can't wait for Episode 10.

Really well told in the last few steps

The series had its problems at first, but this episode in particular is an incredible payoff, not only for the series itself, but also for the National Treasure franchise A plot twist that no one saw coming, but which makes sense and is strongly presented The build up to the episode, the completed character development of some of the characters and the farewell to a much loved, very strongly told episode I hope the quality remains and we get an epic finale, which the series has earned itself with its development I am really looking forward to the it and hopefully the return of Nic Cage, Diane Kruger and Justin Bartha.

Finally so progress but stupid end

Warning: Spoilers
Let's begin: So this episode begins with Jess and her father boarding Billies plane and going to the treasures region. The other 4 minions get interviewed by Agent Ross and she finally is convinced that Billie is responsible but her boss doesn't believe her. The 4 minions then are trying to track down Jess once again... Jess activates a phone SOS mid flight but somehow this gets picked up by a cell tower which makes zero sense if you look where the plane is on their map. The minions are alerted.

Ok this is where the episode actually gets good and the series started to finally interest me. Agent Ross and her soon to be boyfriend investigate the house for Riley's blood stains. However, the baddies who killed him realized they collected the wrong phone from the crime scene and return to collect it whilst agent Ross is there. This ends with Agent Ross killing one of them and proving her theory that there is much more to this investigation. Tasha the hacker then breaches airport CCTV and records Billie taking Jess and her father hostage, which she then forwards to agent Ross as evidence when Ross thought all leads were lost.

Somehow everyone besides Billies crew is able to teleport to that region, Minions and the FBI. Agent Ross is on Billies plane and finally discovers that her boss killed the former FBI agent by seeing a tic tac box which contains poison. She asks her Boss to cuff himself to the plane bar.

Now this is where the episode starts to go down hill real quick. Agent Ross doesn't wait for her Boss to be arrested. Agent Ross decides to ask the minions where Jess is likely heading. Agent Ross proceeds to go to said location without backup even tho in the CCTV recording you can see Billies crew is heavily armed. Agent Rosses phone then disconnects from cell service how ironic is that compared to the plane version. Agent Ross confronts Billie and gets stabbed by a sword by her boss who somehow managed to escape the handcuffs and find transport to the exact location at the exact same time to kill her, seriously??? Not to mention Ross could have shot Billie when she was stabbed... Oh and her boss being Salazar oh please...

Who in the actual wrote this ending of an episode, it's beyond childish and unrealistic. Personally Agent Ross should have waited for her boss to be arrested and called in a squad of helicopters and tracked down Billie regardless of more corrupt agents, at least it would be on file. Could have been a good helicopter vs Billies crew fight but the writers think otherwise.

Sigh, they killed the only relevant Character Agent Ross who actually had development throughout the series. The crew of Jesses friends (minions) are annoying and incredibly stupidly written. Billie gets away with everything as she does. Let's just hope the finale is better as I could personally write a better series than this so far.
