Although i really want to like it..
Spinazie202316 September 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Although as usual the things that are going on seem interesting, i find myself wondering if thats really the case. As a TMS fan, i might just be too much of a fanboy to see the repetitiveness luring in this first episode.

Yet again, Alex and Bradley get bored with UBAs bureaucratics and start demanding more money and journalistic freedom. Yet again, Cory gets the blame for everything, from everyone. Yet again Bradley slowly dives into an identity crisis.

I still have no clue about the premise of this season but perhaps its just a whole season of angry Alex and Bradley, but i sure hope not.

On the bright side: John Hamm is fantastic and the production quality is really great. Lets hope other episodes are better.

Same Old Stuff
danekera-9771730 September 2023
Here we go...Alex is reminding Cory that she is responsible for the success of UBA and UBA+. Bradley is arguing with Stella about how they were supposed to change UBA and she should be able to tell the abortion story and THEN Bradley is defensive and angry at Laura because she didn't behave exactly like she wanted her too while they were in Montana. In other words...zero character development or new angles to drive the plot forward.

And I'm only 30 minutes into the episode.

Not sure I can sit through more episodes of the same old thing...toxic workplace, everybody angry and fighting all the time.

what was this episode for
paporottya5 November 2023
After the confusing ending of season 2, we get an even more confusing beginning. Same thing again, everyone fights, alex boycotts against everyone. I kind of watched a recap of the previous seasons, but only with the thing about the rocket. Why was this rocket, like. I would like to see the end of the seasons come to an end, instead of finishing one story line and throwing us into another after a few years. I understand that the show should cover the most relevant events, but even covid in season 2 did not give anything, only Alex's speech at UBA+ and then another break and we are already in 2022. This episode is very random, probably the worst, I hope season 3 will not disappoint.

The Hit Drama that has won Apple TV+
moviesfilmsreviewsinc22 December 2023
The Morning Show's Season 3 premiere suggests it has killed off a main character, played by an A-List lead, by strapping her into a rocket and launching her into suborbital space. The Apple TV+ drama, previously known for its realistic portrayal, has ended its COVID-related play-by-play, and the show has become more enjoyable this season due to its newfound focus on the character's survival. The season of The Office has shifted from Cory Ellison's frenzied monologues to Billy Crudup's gleefully delivered diatribes. Episode 1, released today, takes viewers into a present-day UBA facing financial woes, where Cory seeks a bailout from Elon Musk-esque tech mogul. This season's space-y shenanigans are just the tip of the rocket, as the show's tone now more aligns with Crudup's diatribes. The premiere of Alex Unfiltered, a popular show on UBA+, begins with an obituary video dedicated to Alex. However, it soon shows her alive and watching it in the control room with Chip and Isabella, her assistant. The package was pulled together to prepare for a suborbital flight she was scheduled to ride during a live broadcast. Two years after the Season 2 finale, Alex Unfiltered has become a hit for UBA+ due to her relatability and the public's sympathy for her. As she celebrates her second decade at the network, she is pressing Cory to give her a seat on the board of directors and a say in the network's future. She warns him that if he doesn't agree, she will leave, but Cory promises to keep her happy. At a meeting with board chair Cybil and news head Greta, it is revealed that Cory has been cutting costs at the network to maintain UBA+'s success. Cybil warns him not to burn through their reserves. Bradley, now the anchor of UBA's nightly news, is pursuing a story about abortion laws in Texas until Greta shuts it down. Greta explains that Bradley's effectiveness is due to her trust among Americans of different political beliefs. At an American Alliance of Journalists event, Bradley has a run-in with Laura, who they fought in Montana and fled. Cory advises her to slow down until after her acceptance speech, but she refuses. She suspects Cory was behind the abortion story being killed, but he denies involvement. He then grabs her bottle and leaves. Alex introduces her co-worker, Bradley, who reported the insurrection using her phone during a press conference. Bradley, who had been separated from her camera crew, decided to use her phone to report the incident, earning her the First Amendment Award. She tries to silence Bradley, but she eventually walks away. Alex later finds Bradley lamenting an abortion story about a woman who travels to Mexico monthly to get pills for women who cannot drive hours to have a procedure. Alex advises her co-worker to let this story go, but becomes deeply interested in the story herself as she and the TMS team travel to Texas for the rocket launch. In the Lone Star State, Alex meets Paul Marks, the head of the rocket company and the person who will accompany her and Cory during the launch. They get to know each other and Alex asks Cory about the deal. Cory confesses that UBA needs someone with "more money than God" to help them out of a financial rough spot. Alex isn't comforted by his assurance that she'll be taken care of if the deal goes through. Later that night, Alex receives a text from Bradley, who asks her to spare a camera operator. Cory intercepts Bradley at JFK International Airport and asks her to return the favor. A flash visual of someone washing their bloody hands triggers something in her, and she agrees to do what he says. The story highlights the tension between Alex and Cory, as well as the potential consequences of their actions.

Anyone can fly into space, no health requirements or training required
void-account18 September 2023
Warning: Spoilers
I didn't get the point of the first episode. Granted it's been a while since I watched the second season, but this episode was just confusing trying to pack in multiple plots.

My favorite scene is Bradley somehow making it into orbit with no training or health requirements needed. If you want the show to be taken seriously, then don't put stupid things like this in there.

Then there's "Tom" Hamm the billionaire who owns bazillion acres of unspoiled land. We get it, he's loaded like Musk and Bezos so he can afford his own space program.

And, they're covering COVID again, which everyone is tired of, so why even have that in the plot?

This episode didn't suck me in at all unfortunately.

Bradley in space? Alex backs out of something big again?
mishashell27 September 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Alex supposedly goes through weeks of training prior to the launch into space, yet Bradley just shows up and gets on a rocket on a moment's notice when Cory intercepts her at the airport in Texas? Then Alex goes to cover Bradley's story with no context or real background knowledge on all the work that she did on that story prior to driving to San Antonio to cover the protest on that woman's arrest?

In a 60-minute episode, the show lingered on all the unnecessary stuff with too long of scenes and forgot to cover major stuff to have greater impact.

Ugh.....weak storyline this episode.

Hope this latest season doesn't jump the shark.

So disappointing :(
clarissak131318 September 2023
Warning: Spoilers
After waiting 2YEARS for the 3rd season WOW was this a letdown. The first 2 seasons were so well done but this first episode feels like it's not even the same show.

There was simply not enough "segue" between the seasons, the story seems to have nothing to do with the previous 2 seasons (what happened during Covid, what about that tell-all book, etc???), and overall the production overall seemed too "slick" or something. I didn't connect to the characters at all (maybe something to do with the amount of Botox being used on the actors!).

The story about going to space was RIDICULOUS. It was so improbable and also terribly unoriginal. I basically forwarded through the last half of the episode and will likely not even watch the rest of the season.

I really LOVED the first 2 seasons, watched both 3 times. Maybe killing off Mitch Kessler was a bad idea!! There just wasn't enough tension/story (or believability!) between the main characters, I don't care about Jon Hamm's character at all (or that storyline), and Billy Crudup is wonderful as always but too much of Cory isn't a good thing, imo.

So sad, I had such high hopes.

This show lost its plot
marcovinicio-7492117 September 2023
Warning: Spoilers
As if Bradley Jackson wasn't annoying enough already, now she is in space too... Is there anything that this woman can't do?

What is this season about? At the beginning was all about sex harassment in the work place, then about covid and now about the sale of the streaming service?

I get the try to be up to date with what happens in the world right now from the girl boss female perspective, but the dialogue, the scenes and the storylines feel fake and forced.

There is no chemistry between the actors, and it feels like written by AI making sure that both on the stars have exactly the same amount of lines and close ups, it is very forced, very boring. All supporting cast is just there like white noise, there wasn't a single scene that wasn't about Alex or Bradley and how brave they are.

I thought I would give it another go to see if it addressed the mistakes from the past, the bad writing or try to give the main characters some "character", but they failed so hard, that I couldn't even finish episode 1.

OMG

Warning: Spoilers
Seriously !

So disappointed with the new season. I knew they could be political but at this point no, it's too much The first season they were making a good point in exposing sexual harassment in the workplace, but here I just watched the first episode, they're already fans of the Democrats. It's rich people taking care of poor people at the border who can't get abortions, it seems so wrong.

Same story for money and contracts: "I need that otherwise I'll stop, blah blah blah" And what about the story of Alex flying into space, they have no imagination for script.

Fake Democratic compassion, sorry I can't. Constantly talking about millions of dollars and feeling sorry for others.

Apple makes only this rich kind of shows, so dumb !

Fake Texas
mani263423 November 2023
Warning: Spoilers
How can y'all feel comfortable releasing an episode that is set in so called "Texas". I'm a born and raised Texan, unless that rocket launch was in El Paso, I can guarantee you all those scenes were from Arizona or Utah. Second, the "San Antonio" Airport really? The actual San Antonio Airport is nice, why not film it at the actual location? Why are you portraying areas in Texas that are not in fact Texas? Texas is a beautiful state full of many different landscapes that would have been good enough for your "rocket" scenes. Very disappointed that y'all couldn't be authentic. If it was set in California or New York y'all would be authentic but not Texas? Make it make sense?

Childish women
cyndorthalina20 December 2023
I have to agree with everyone here, it seems like if things don't go the women's way they behave badly. Bradley is mad and so she throws a temper tantrum at her awards ceremony. Alex is upset so she doesn't show up for the rocket launch. She trained for months, yet she bails?? It was understandable in the first season when tensions were high and people were devastated and upset. But now in the third season they are so unprofessional and it's actually immature.

I also agree with others the storylines from last season just vanished.

Of course this is a very liberal show. And getting more so.....

Episode 301
bobcobb3019 October 2023
Warning: Spoilers
I think we are all glad to have this show back because we all need something to watch right now with just about every other program delayed or off the air due to the writer's and actor's strikes.

It is insane that they kicked things off with a new character and Elon Musk parody being introduced, as well as sending a reporter to space. They are throwing out the rule book and maybe that is the right move, but we shall see.

The show is not taking itself seriously which is usually the right format for comedies. When we are talking about dramas, I don't know, but let's see how the rest of the season goes.
