Major storytelling with minor budget
thejohnykat1 December 2013
Zero One, the debut movie from independent filmmaker, Kareem N.Gray, is a dramatic science fiction piece reminiscent of the feel of The Twilight Zone. Choosing to focus on the story rather than scene after scene of special effects, Kareem and the cast of Zero One were able to take a micro-budget film and fill it with the heart and soul missing from so many of today's big budget hits.

If you are looking for the next big Hollywood tent pole film, you won't find that here. But if you are interested in originality and solid storytelling, then you've come to the right place.

Part sci-fi flick, part study in humanity and the overcoming of one's own weaknesses, Zero One can hold it's own in a multitude of genres, and would be highly recommended for anyone who enjoys a solid, moving story.

Great Indie Sci-Fi!

Zero One is a great Indie Sci-fi movie. The story is well written and the characters really capture your attention. The story felt like kind of a cross between Short Circuit and War Games, but has a very original feel to it. As you are watching the movie you really feel invested in the characters and feel a connection to them. The story also does a very good job of developing the characters and seeing the full range of emotions. As with any Sci-fi movies you have to over look some of the technical details, but it really doesn't hurt the film. The story really grabs your attention and keeps you interested throughout. The ending will also leave you wanting more. Definitely worth checking out.

we need more Grey area support

This is a great film. I wish Hollywood or who ever would give it a chance. I've seen many films in 2013 and Zero one is better than half of them. The story is great, the film location was awesome as well. I just love computers and the sci-fi twist blended. The film is a 10 in my book. We need more films like this with young directors so that we can keep the art alive. Mr.Grey is the future and from the talent that he has we will always have quality films to watch. The star of the movie played a great role and left you speechless in most parts of the movie. I haven't seen a movie out like it and it all blends well with the older and younger generation. This is a must see and well make a great stocking stuff during the holiday season.

DOPE MOVIE THAT REPRESENTS DFW TALENT can Hang with Hollywood TALENT EASY!!!

This was I a Dope Movie and I even got to watch it in 3D!!!

Lots of really cool twists in the story I didn't expect! The theater experience was really nice as well. I hope they make a part 2! You'll understand when you watch it.

I'm telling all my shaddowryderz to watch it too. It's that good.

I'm also a really big Sci-Fi fan so it was a treat to see something new out there. The problem with Hollywood is they all are afraid to come out with original material, especially in the Sci-fi genre. Too many times you see directors copying off of one another or remaking a old movie again. A good example is the new star trek movies. I love star trek but I would like to see them go somewhere different and not just remake or recycle an old idea. Zero One is a new idea. I really think this story can contend with the Marvel stories for solid science fiction content.
