This episode hit hard.
A lot of white viewers will find themselves challenged as a comedy routine goes racist. Yes, it's recognizably racist, but more categorized as microaggressions.
So the script does a marvelous job of showing a spectrum form outrage, to irritated, to "not that bad," to defense.
My guess is that the well-connected white boy's going to get away with a slap on the wrist, but at least we see inside an actual HR process rather than the eye roll many people receive all the time.
In sum, we have another great conversation starter, while the story still keeps on with the more traditional relationship building and plots. This makes sense, since it's all warp & woof of our life.
Appreciate the writers and cast so much for doing this, though. Everything is so well integrated, so well acted, so well shot.
Loving it.
