This film is very hard to watch since it's the kind of film where you feel its length. I found the lengthy ritual sequence (or, at least, I think that's what was going on) in the first half to be a chore to sit through due to the repetitive, freeform editing. If that sequence was tightened up, the film probably would've been much easier to watch. Fortunately though, the pacing got much better for me in the second hour and I found it easier to get through the film. I'm not sure there's any thematic significance to all the bizarre set pieces or if the film is just weird for the sake of being weird, but I did enjoy a lot of the imagery in the film, the unique mood the film kept up throughout its runtime, and, given the low quality of the film, the underwater photography looked really good.
