I felt like this went over my head, but at the same time, that's why I liked it so much...it made me think a lot about movies and human rights and how things are related...how we are all related, in fact.

The movie is a cluster of stories (the synopsis here says 4 but I'd say there were more) that flow together kind of like Crash. The main plot driving everything is about a man who loses his wife in a car accident, and then takes up with a filmmaker (also a guy) and explores his sexuality. But that seems to get tossed to the background after 15 minutes, and suddenly we are bombarded by so many ideas and philosophies and subtle discussions, all the while still feeling for the characters and hoping things will work out somehow. This must have taken years to write, the whole film is just dialogue, but it's exciting to listen to! The other plot lines are three students talking about movies and culture, a creepy old guy obsessing over the young filmmaker, a couple at an art museum listening to rich people's idiotic statements, two people talking to the camera (unscripted?) and there felt like a couple more little ones, but these were the big plots.

You could tell it was really low budget, but I actually didn't mind. I've seen bigger budget movies that look even cheaper than this, and who needs budget when there's so much going on in the dialogue.

I really enjoyed this just because I'm still thinking about it, and I saw it over a week ago! My girlfriend and I have been trying to figure out the ending too, we have different opinions, but I won't write them so I don't spoil anything! Overall, awesome independent movie that was both smart and caring.
