If they could find a way to ruin Diggstown it would be to devote too much time to Marcie's parents. On sitcoms the parents appearing as guest stars can often be the scene stealers, but with dramas such is not the case, especially on this program. Save all of that drama for another day.
As for the case itself, pretty much by the book and the DUI or life in prison drama could have used a vintage "Law and Order twist" or just something unique.
Diggstown has a different vibe and pacing than most legal shows, but they have to give us better cases. That is truly the only path toward gaining more viewers and more acclaim for the show.
