Absolutely horrible ...
patrickhagel30 May 2010
I thought the movie was just absolutely horrible, with bad jokes that were often being overextended to the point where you think to yourself "I wish this joke would end NOW!". There was one scene which got a laugh out of me and that was when they mocked Twilight (the first time, the 2nd time once again wasn't very funny).

Aside from most of the main characters actors looking pretty close to the original ones this movie had not much to offer, I sit through it but I expected way more than that. I think it had a lot of potential which could've been filled if the movie was written by somebody else than "One Black Guy and One White Guy" as stated in the opening sequence.

Crude, Distasteful, Even Disgusting - And Yet ...
sddavis6325 January 2012
Oh my. What a terrible movie. The word "bad" doesn't sum it up. "Awful" doesn't do it justice. "Horrible" would be far too generous. It's honestly beyond any of those words. It's crude, it's distasteful and on many occasions it's even disgusting. There's no story to it. It's an incoherent mess that makes no sense at all. There may be a possibility that this is one of those things that could drive you insane if you try to think too hard about it and make some sort of sense of it. You know the sorts of things I mean: "How big is the universe?" "How did time actually start?" And now - "What in the world is 'The 41-year-old Virgin Who Knocked Up Sarah Marshall And Felt Super Bad About It' actually about?" Really - it's about nothing. And I don't mean that in a Seinfeld "isn't that a clever show?" way, but in a "this is lame-brained and totally meaningless" kind of way. Truly - there's more logic to most "Three Stooges" stuff than there is to this! Is it just a bad spoof? And if it is - what's it a bad spoof of? I really can't figure out what's being badly spoofed. This is the sort of movie you'd be embarrassed about if too many people found out you had watched it. I mean the humour is - well - it's juvenile toilet humour at best. People vomit and fart and defecate and have orgasms. Oh my.

And then - as absolutely meaningless and worthless and ludicrous as it is - it made me laugh on a few occasions. Oh it's lame - but some of it is actually funny, and - humiliated though I may be about it - I had no trouble watching it for its entire 1:22 run time. It even includes some spoofs of folks like the Verizon ("Can you hear me now?") guy, Dr. Phil and North Korean dictator Kim Jong-Il. I mean, you have to give credit to anyone who can throw parodies of all three into the same truly bad movie.

I'm kind of embarrassed to say this, but - 4/10.

Watch the first 10 minutes, then shut it off
cjmuc2 August 2010
A couple of my friends rented this on the off chance that it might be good. I looked at the title and figured it probably wouldn't be good, but I went through with watching it, hoping maybe it would be so bad that it actually became good.

It proved to be neither.

For about the first 10 minutes, The 41-Year-Old Virgin Who Knocked Up Sarah Marshall and Felt Superbad About It actually provides a few good laughs. Stephen Kramer Glickman does a good job making fun of Seth Rogen's characters, and the humor, though somewhat juvenile, is still genuinely funny.

After this, however, the movie descends rapidly into an incoherent mishmash of movie and pop culture parodies drowned in excessive amounts of gross-out humor, leading the viewer to believe it was written by a 14-year-old virgin with ADHD.

On a brighter note, Noureen DeWulf is quite beautiful as the female lead character, Kim.

Overall, this movie does offer a few cheap laughs here and there. In fact, if you like shock films with gratuitous amounts of toilet humor, you may actually enjoy this film. Also, if you are an aspiring filmmaker or screenwriter who wants to know what absolutely not to do when writing or producing, I would consider this a good example to watch. For the rest of us, though, the funny moments of this movie are piled beneath such large amounts of garbage that they are simply not worth looking for.

I think a new word needs to be created for these kind of movies...
froggthejam26 July 2010
My GOD this was bad... I expected it to be bad but not THIS bad!!! I literally laughed TWICE through the WHOLE movie. The look alike actors are interesting for the first 10 seconds when you go "Oh yeah he DOES look and sound like so and so". And then its all downhill from there. The story is utterly pointless. The cheap humor is thrown at you like a spray of painful bullets. I usually respect other people's opinions about movies. Different strokes for different folks, but with this movie? You have to have a slightly, no scratch that... HIGHLY underdeveloped brain to enjoy this flick. Thank the lord I didn't pay to watch this. Free off Redbox and STILL not worth it. It would have been the WORST way I could have EVER spent a dollar. I wish I could have turned it off, but once I start a movie, I hate stopping. I want my hour and twenty minutes of my life back, or the memory of this movie erased from my mind.

A none stop barrage of jokes,at least three of them almost funny
lurpak1 June 2010
Shock, gross, unnecessary bad taste. As a comedy writer I was pleasantly surprised by this movie. Proof there is money out there no matter how bad you are at comedy writing. The first ten seconds showed potential, I know how hard it is to make a decent spoof, unfortunately the writers don't seem to and just thought that if they take a recognised sequence of events from another film, then added someone farting, being sick or defecating then this would lead to audience hilarity. The actors did the best they could with sequence of events that had no coherent purpose. If I was involved in this project I would be very embarrassed. So overall no criticism of anything but the writing...ITS NOT FUNNY !

so bad it should be jailed for life
lukebain9 June 2010
I have to say Im not usually particular about what I watch, Ill give anything a chance to make me laugh, but after watching this all it achieved in my eyes, was making me want to watch the good films it was "parodying" aka take a funny scene and add some literal crap. Trying to mesh together 4 or more films together simultaneously really didn't work, too much too fast and all too shite for my taste. There was one scene which made me chuckle a little, and it was a driving scene straight out of 40yov with contents multiplied.

Shame on me (and perhaps you) for thinking this could be any good.

Im going to go watch Airplane to get some real comedy, I suggest you do the same and save yourself 85 minutes of disappointment/anger.

What a pile of garbage!!
les-1808 June 2010
I don't give many reviews but feel compelled to with this one:

Firstly, this film is just absolute garbage!! It is basically a really unfunny film attempting to make a mockery of films that actually were very funny!!...

Which poses the question... WHY???

I got the scary movie films, they were funny. Then there were the disaster, super hero and others that jumped on the, "Parody, lets take the p*ss out of movies, bandwagon", which were not so good, but made you smile... However, these were all about a complete different gender to comedy, so there was something to mock.

This is where this film got it wrong... Could they not see that?? They took really funny movies, tried to collaborate parts from each, from the obvious title, and what they achieved was something so unfunny its ridiculous!! I even thought, "hmmmm, maybe if I had not seen the original films, (which would then go totally against the film makers point), would it be funny?"... Do you know what the answer is???

NO!!!

Seriously, don't bother wasting your time watching this. Its up to you... You have been warned!!

To the writer: Please go back to your day job at McDonalds or what ever you used to do before trying to write scripts for movies!!

Worst. Movie. Ever.
bradleyluke799 July 2013
This movie was absolutely terrible. For starters who spoofs a comedy?

Spoof movies generally make fun of serious movies, generally horrors.

But no they had to spoof a comedy. Superbad is my favorite movie, the fact that these are even slightly related to each other is a huge embarrassment. I haven't seen the others they spoofed but I guarantee they are one hundred times better than this piece of trash. All it is, is crude, ridiculous and unintelligent jokes.

Trying to make fun of a great comedy and ending up with the worst movie ever made is pretty embarrassing. Not much else to say except. Don't watch it!

Worst than expected!!!!!!!!!!!!
menelik-second8 June 2010
Looking at this movie makes me want to puke. Its not that funny at all and has absolutely no clear decisive direction. It's like watching a spin-off of the scary-movie series except ten times worse. The movie utilizes every cliché joke in the book in order to make you laugh. Nothing about this movie will seem new to average movie consumer. The constant references to past movie get annoying because it is very obvious. There is no smooth transition between the parodies either. If you like movies such as scary movie 4, meet the Spartans, epic movie, or date movie you MIGHT find this movie amusing, otherwise do not waste your time.

....nasty stupid movie
rebecca_mccoy30 August 2010
all i have to say is Larry the cable guy has made better movies. this movie is idiotic! and a waste of time.yes it might start pretty cool cause you get to see a naked girl..but after fifteen minutes what you've watched so far is pretty much what your gonna watch the whole movie. the only funny part for me is when Edward Cullen drove up in a Volvo to save the poor kids life. The acting wasn't that bad the script was just badly written. i was both repulsed and bored. it was like a bunch of 15 year old hormone deranged teenage boys sat around and made this movie as a joke.if i could speak personally to this director and who ever wrote the script i think i might slap them in the face for wasting two hours of their lives.just don't watch it...you will get sick.

Definition of overhated.
MadMark968 September 2021
Since when did the raunchy comedy fans all of a sudden start taking movies seriously? This is arguably just as funny and stupid as the movies it's a PARODY of. Yes it's extremely stupid and that's the point, and for that reason I say it does it's job it was hilarious. "I'm MCANAL LOVIN Chika chika yeeeeah"

it wasn't that bad
tleverson086 January 2011
I saw the title and assumed it would be terrible. Then I watched the previews for it and thought it would be worse. But honestly, compared to other spoof movies that have come out, it's not that bad. It does have a story, that is based off of a bunch of other stories and the jokes are immature, but it is entertaining. I guess the reason I give it a high rating is because I had low expectations, due to the other spoof movies, and it kept me entertained and pleasantly surprised. If you are reading reviews to decide whether or not to watch this movie, I'd say don't expect to much from the movie, just watch it if you're looking for some cheap laughs.

Terrible
Metallica761523 August 2010
It takes a lot for me to turn off a movie that I paid to rent. The 4 movies that were meshed together are all great comedies, unfortunately this parody was unable to impress me at all. I guess if you are 12 years old, and hearing the F-Bomb being dropped makes you laugh, then you'll love this movie because the script is so poorly written its pathetic. I wasted my dollar at Redbox on this movie, save yours! The actors that are picked to play in this movie do also do a terrible job at impersonating there much higher skilled famous actors. The man who plays Seth Rogan does an OK job, but away from that there is not much else to say.

So bad i had to write a review
kim-289-2475756 September 2013
Warning: Spoilers
This movie is just ruining my night. I'm watching a TV channel, that normally contain good funny stuff.

However this movies is probably the worst i have ever seen, and it was a pain for me to watch. So much that i had to write the first review on IMDb.

From start, till end (proberly also in the middle, got easily distracted because of boredom) is was just downright horrible. Terrible jokes, that are made worse by the length of them, as well as the horrible job from the camera crews, that made the the actors look painfully amateur.

What of waste of time, that i will never get back, time that would have been spend better, looking at the grass grow....in deep snow... at night.

I hope that you read this, and don't watch it.. if you do.. I told you so

Blunt, But Honest
Munky200130 September 2010
First off, any movie that gets a distinction of being the worst movie ever by someone must be pretty awful. I've seen a lot of movies. And this is the worst so far. About 30 minutes in, it gets painful to watch. You keep waiting for something funny to happen, but like a desert rain, it never comes. It's like they got high and forgot to even try to make a movie. It just runs on and on and on. It's almost like they just kept filming and made up things along the way, hoping that one of these things would be funny. I love parody movies, Airplane, Scary Movie, etc. So I went into this thinking it'd be OK, Brian Callen was in it and I loved Mad TV so how bad could it be? Cheaply made, rushed like all hell, and just generally unfunny. It is with all honestly the worst movie, I've ever seen, so far.

This movie is not a spoof it's just a ripoff!
Hellmant9 September 2010
'THE 41-YEAR-OLD VIRGIN WHO KNOCKED UP SARAH MARSHALL AND FELT SUPERBAD ABOUT IT': Zero Stars (Out of Five)

This spoof on Judd Apatow films, and a few others, is a disgrace to film. First of all it's spoofing comedies, which seems ridiculous in my opinion. A spoof should mock something that takes itself seriously, where's the fun in trying to make fun of a joke? I thought the same thing about the original 'SCARY MOVIE' for spoofing a spoof, 'SCREAM', which at least parts of that film took itself seriously; it was somewhat a serious horror film as well as a spoof on the horror genre. The Wayans brothers just imitated the same exact jokes and didn't really add anything humorous at all and they also did a much worse job; so much to the effect that it wasn't funny anymore. That's the case with this film.

This movie tries to mock 'THE 40 YEAR OLD VIRGIN', 'SUPERBAD', 'FORGETTING SARAH MARSHALL', 'FUNNY PEOPLE' and 'KNOCKED UP' briefly (some of my all time favorite comedy films), as well as a few other random films like 'SLUMBOG MILLIONAIRE' and 'THE CURIOUS CASE OF BENJAMIN BUTTON' for no apparent reason. It tells the story of a guy named Andy (played by Bryan Callen), just like Steve Carell's character in 'THE 40 YEAR OLD VIRGIN', who's a 41 year old virgin and his buddies find out. They of course try to hook him up with a girl. He has a fling with a woman named Sarah Marshall, played by Mircea Monroe, who becomes pregnant by his friends, blindfolded, and blames him for it. When he won't take responsibility for the baby a day later she breaks up with him and Andy immediately runs into her on vacation at the same resort.

This movie is not a spoof it's just a ripoff, and it's no better than the 'TRANSMORPHERS' or 'ALIEN VS. HUNTER' at that, although I haven't honestly seen those movies. The worse part is that it takes really good comedy and ruins it; it bleeds the humor out of once funny humor. It branches out a little towards the end and tries to mock other movies to slightly better results but still not funny for the most part. The best joke is a verizon wireless guy 'can you hear me now' spoof but that's not worth taking it above a zero star rating. The most the movie has is a somewhat clever title. It also amps up the vulgarity to stomach sickening results. It's repulsive!

Worse the Birdemic?
Gline-24-7012546 September 2012
Warning: Spoilers
Now, to this day, Birdemic is still the least watch-able and failed harder then 41-Year-Old Blah, blah BLAH!.

However, Birdemic cost about $10,000 Dollars, It didn't have good actors (In fact some are not even actors)

This movie on the other hand cost over $1 Million, had some of the most adored actors ever. And it failed to be even dull, it's painful to watch. This movie claims to be a comedy, but there was barely any attempt at a joke, I know not everyone has my kind of humour, but I know when something was meant to be a joke, there were almost no jokes even made. The Film references commercials and other movies to death, the character names (E.G. McAnalovin')make no sense.

If anyone ever want's you to watch this film, punch them in the face.

Depressingly bad
scouttopya13 June 2010
My friends and I thought we'd rent a crappy movie just to make fun of it. We saw this in the video store, but we had thought from the trailer that it was honestly a joke. We still do. The joke weren't funny, the story was so random and choppy, and it was really dumb toilet humour. The only good thing was some of the main characters had good acting, but that was it. A question to Bryan Callen, the lead actor, how did you go from doing the Hangover, to this crap? This was so bad, I thought you would've done better then that. This movie also made me depressed. There's so many undiscovered great writers out there who can't get their projects through because the studio wants to focus on making crap like this. Oh well, I guess we live an unfair world. Overall, don't waste your time, I had more fun watching Disaster Movie. That used to be my most loathed movie, now this is my most loathed movie.

Funny Spoof
livimak24 May 2010
I'm usually not a fan of parodies but this one had me laughing pretty damn hard. As dumb and brainless as these movies usually are this one somehow was able to maintain consistent comedy throughout which made it fun to watch and reminiscent of the great parodies that came out in the 70's and 80's (Airplane etc) Kudos to the producers on casting..it was truly amazing how these characters looked like the cast in Apatow's films..especially the guy who played Jonah Hill..ridiculous how much he looked like him. Besides the the cast and great set pieces a lot of the original music in this was really funny. Although the film was raunchy and pushed the proverbial envelope, it seemed to have some heart..well at least as much you can have in a movie like this. The dude from Madtv and THE HANGOVER played the Steve carrell character pretty well while the young Indian lady from GHOSTS OF GIRLFRIENDS PAST was very funny and looked pretty damn hot in her UFC outfit. If you enjoy spoofs than this is one you gotta check out.

Much better than I thought...
nikki2019431 May 2010
I went in with fairly low expectations but I was actually laughing at times. It did drag a bit in the middle. The humour is definitely on the spoof/monty-python sort of level - which is the intent.

Not sure this is 1st or 2nd date movie material but cheap easy humour. This film is definitely aimed at the teenage/guy crowd but there were some clever bits. Not only did the film include the names it was spoofing but several others as well.

Don't go in expecting a high-brow film, if you're in the mood for mindless and easy comedy give it a go. A very surprising 7/10 from me was expecting a 2-3 out of 10.

I Feel Superbad For Watching
StevePulaski15 July 2010
This is another joke of a parody film that shows it's awful just by the title. I haven't seen a longer title since The Englishman Who Went Up a Hill But Came Down a Mountain. But from what I hear, that movie was good. From now on this monstrosity of a title will be shortened to The 41 Year Old Virgin because I do not feel like writing out this title obviously. Hell, just typing it out word for word leaves you just 61 characters on Twitter. Is that necessary? Well, seeing has it's a parody movie, it has the ability to color outside the lines. It has no rules, it can do whatever, it's a parody film.

This excuse is not made by Jason Friedberg and Aaron Seltzer, though by Craig Moss (the guy who brought the world Saving Ryan's Privates) as it says on the back of the DVD. What the hell is that? Surely is something that stupid came out I would have known. I cant find a VHS or DVD of it. I can find some torrents, but in no hurry to download it. From what I've read it's only an eight minute short, so now I could careless. I wouldn't even review it if I had a copy in my hand.

The film (loosely) is about Andy (Bryan Callen), a 40 year old virgin, who is looking for love in the wrong places. He lives with various friends like Seth (Big Time Rush's Stephen Kramer Glickman) and Sanjay (Frank Maharajh). He has three friends McAnallovin (Austin Michael Scott), Jonah (Steven Sims), and a Michael Cera look-a-like who's subplot is forgotten about. He tries numerous ways to find his love with a friend names Blaqguy (Shamari Berkley) which has lackluster results. But after finding the love he saw is moving, he finds a girl at a party who's friend impregnates. He then vacations to a place where both his impregnated woman and love are located. Oh, whatever will he do? Whatever the thrown together, lackluster script tell him too.

The movie is an obvious parody of all the Judd Apatow films. The title spoofs The 40 Year Old Virgin, Knocked Up, Forgetting Sarah Marshall, and Superbad if that isn't a desperate attempt for a laugh. This movie wouldn't bother me if for one it didn't have about five subplots. Andy's trying to get laid, Seth is accused of being a predator, Michael Cera is kidnapped by vampires, McAnallovin is with two bumbling police officer excuses, and his two friends are betting involving marijuana. it's like the movie is panting and wheezing to keep up with itself. Also, the Michael Cera story is left in the dust. He is seen for about two scenes with vampires and his subplot doesn't have an end. He's just gone. What happened to him, I have no clue, I might not have been paying attention, but really, who is? The funniest thing about this movie is that it was greenlit when shown a trailer by Craig Moss (director) that was shot in a weekend by an unknown company. Let me explain, apparently, from some of the many bonus features packed into this disc which appear to have more time spent on them than any part of the movie, Craig Moss and his partner write ideas, show them to a company, then put on an indefinite studio production. When shown this "funny" idea to a company, they rejected it. So when the Craig Moss made a half assed trailer that was shot in one weekend and shown to the company, it immediately went from studio production to pre-production. So the trailer that was posted online about half a year ago was not even to a completed movie. Which is why it took so long to come out.

It reminds me of a movie my friend Mike Nuccio and I are doing. In March, we premiered a trailer for our upcoming short film One Shot Kill we thought about doing for sometime. When premiering it, we had no footage for the actual film shot. And since that footage was shot well over four months ago, we cant really use it, since we look completely different. The original release for One Shot Kill was June 28, but due ideas running slowly and other conflicts I wont mention till we do an interview after the film's release, its dug itself into a deeper hiatus. Our plan is, after Mike's vacation (which should end around July 25) we will shoot more footage in August, and the film's release should be around August 24/ If we're not done, we will throw the old ending that we shot in March on there and state our troubles at the end.

I think I did a little too much there, but we can be excused for not having a movie done before the trailer. We're kids, not major actors under contract from a company. Our ideas aren't last minute, but this seems like half of them were. So overall, it's just a beyond mediocre movie, but still, despite the flaws, Busted is the worse parody film I've seen, then Epic Movie, then this, then Scary Movie 4, then Date Movie. Though, whenever I see the new Vampires Suck Im sure it will be added to the wonderful list. So in the end, am I The 14 Year Old Kid Who Put This Crap in His Player and Felt Superbad About It? Starring: Bryan Callen, Noureen DeWulf, Mircea Monroe, Stephen Kramer Glickman, Austin Michael Scott, and Steven Sims. Directed by: Craig Moss.

Absolute utter garbage...how this is even made should be looked into
Robert_duder18 August 2010
Warning: Spoilers
I hate spoof films. I always have. I mean I can manage sometimes to find one that isn't a complete write off but for the most part they are stupid and nasty (full of stupid toilet humour) and a total waste of time with forced jokes and stupid spoofing. So being I feel this way every time I don't know why I thought I would give this a try. I guess its because I do love Judd Apatow films and though maybe it wouldn't be a complete disaster and instead I was faced with one of the worst so called 'movies' I have ever seen. A group of teenage boys with a cell phone camera would have made this more entertaining. There wasn't a single funny moment in the film and the jokes they make towards films that were already quite funny are so stupid and vile you want to stop watching. I would have stopped watching but MERCIFULLY the film is just over an hour long, and I try to never stop watching a movie so that I can review it fully and honestly but man this one was painful. I haven't seen a movie this bad in a very long time. What makes it bad? Well everything...I mean you're spoofing the daddy of toilet humour films so turning crude humour into absurd and even more immature crude humour equals stone cold stupidity.

I'm not even going to waste a lot of time on this cast. They should all be blacklisted for even being a part of this and their performances are as stupid and worthless as the movie itself. Stand up comic and TV actor Bryan Callen lowers his career to irredeemable lows to play Andy. He looks stupid, behaves even worse and is simply NOT funny. Body fluids are his big gag and its just ridiculous. Noureen DeWulf looks like she took a wrong turn on Hollywood Blvd and ended up on this cast. She looks like a deer in the headlights and while she is supposed to be a goddess, the film makes her look as silly and ridiculous as everything else. Steven Sims, who apparently is making a career out of looking like Jonah Hill does a decent impression of him. Too bad the film sucks. That's all I can say about him. This is the second time film editor Austin Michael Scott has imitated the character of "McLovin'" Big things ahead for this actor (eye roll) You know what lets ignore the rest of the cast because they all poke fun at their proper characters who originally were ultimately poking fun at stereotypes and various characters so lets just make clear the cast is terrible and this will do nothing for their already lack luster careers.

I looked forward to looking into the director and co-writer of this crap-fest. Craig Moss has little credits to his name but his first credit as director is "Saving Ryan's Privates." The description on IMDb is as follows..."Parody of Saving Private Ryan about war heroes who must save their buddy's penis." Enough said. This guy is a joke and I don't mean in a good way. This film is disgusting and stupid and a complete and utter bore-fest. Spoof movies are already dumb but this is just whole new lengths. If someone can get this crap made and released for real then this gives hope to billions of hopeful film makers everywhere. This was awful period. 1/10
