Thrilling!
ops101ex7 August 2009
A well executed, intense dramatic thriller! Solid writing drives this film, betraying triple threat filmmaker Nate Lessler's penchant for plot twists. And what a plot twist it is, making innovative use of temporal ambiguity reminiscent of Memento. I was absolutely bowled-over by the wacky yet clever plot twist that cinches the film's ending as one of the most memorable of 2009. The acting is nearly believable, but it is Peter Wells' performance that steals the scene, with his well- styled hair doing much of the acting for him. An film noir credence is cultivated by the director's decision to film in the haunting tones of greyscale.

However, the film had a certain void; an unmistakable air of emptiness caused by a tragic dearth of violence and explosions. A higher budget may have remedied this oversight, but hindsight is 20/20, right?

Expect to see entertaining and well thought-out films from prodigy Nate Lessler in the future.
