Few shows remain relevant following the end of their run, but Suits staged a big comeback last year when the first eight seasons landed on Netflix.
The former USA Network legal drama broke countless streaming records and reignited interest in the franchise.
Recognizing an opening to restart the franchise, NBC put a spinoff — Suits: L.A. — into development.
Despite being billed as a shoo-in for a pickup for the 2024-2025 TV season, it was absent from the recent wave of NBC series orders and the network’s fall 2024 schedule.
Thankfully, the lack of pickup isn’t bad news because NBC has yet to watch the Suits L.A. pilot.
“We’re excited about this. It’s a pilot and we’ll be screening it in June … Assuming that it gets picked up it would be for midseason next year,” NBCUniversal boss Jeff Bader shared this week, according to The Wrap.

Batman is receiving a new animated series, one that was passed over by its home in DC, before it was recused by Amazon. The show is going to take a unique approach to the character of Batman, stripping away his gadgets and gizmos and pitting him against this iconic rogue’s gallery in the backdrop of the United States in the 40s.

Henry Cavill pretty much had and maintained that muscular physique right from the start, which must be one of the major reasons behind his casting and fitting perfectly as Superman in the Dceu. But things unfolded differently for David Corenswet, who will play the next Clark Kent in James Gunn’s reboot of the Dcu: All because he didn’t possess that superhero physique from the start.
David Corenswet in Hollywood.
Needless to say, this one factor affected fans’ approval of him in the role as well. However, being the absolute jaw-dropper that he is, Corenswet has surpassed everyone’s expectations through his recent revelation of how much he has beefed up to play this respective character. And unsurprisingly enough, this revelation should be enough to put his comparisons to Cavill to rest with ease.

Episode 6 of X-Men ’97 introduced the Shi’ar Empire once again, who appeared in the original Animated Series, way back in the 90s. The Empire’s greatest asset, the Shi’ar Imperial Guard, made an appearance in the episode once again, fighting Ronan the Accuser and soldiers of the Kree Empire. In addition to focusing on non-mutant characters, the episode brought in one of the X-Men’s most powerful adversaries, Gladiator.

Superman is one of those superheroes who has always gained wide momentum among fans, becoming their favorite in the least time possible and continuing to rule their hearts through the indelible marks left behind by their stories. That being said, he has also earned multiple animated and live-action adaptations over the years, including the most recent one under James Gunn.
Superman. However, while all of those other animated projects gave the feeling of being like yet another cartoon show despite their outstanding storylines, this first animated series under Gunn’s reign as the co-ceo of the DC Universe, i.e. My Adventures with Superman, gave a different vibe. This was because it had the wildest idea for its core animation: Its main theme being anime-inspired!

Fans may be anticipating James Gunn’s take on the Superman movie, but there’s another show that definitely puts a lot of twist in it, and that’s My Adventures with Superman animated series. The shonen anime-inspired project sees Clark Kent, voiced by Jack Quaid, as he juggles life as a superhero and his work at the Daily Planet.
My Adventures With Superman
Many hated the show, particularly Lois Lane’s portrayal, but executive producer Jake Wyatt thinks she’s “the Batman” in her relationship with Kent. What’s the deal with Lane, and why is everyone hating on her?
My Adventures With Superman Producers Called Lois Lane “The Batman”
In an interview with Comicsbeat, executive producers Jake Wyatt and Josie Campbell talked about Lois Lane in My Adventures with Superman. The latter claimed they pitched it as a rom-com with punching, and they also watched the ‘70s Superman film.

The beauty of “X-Men ’97” (currently streaming on Disney+) is that it’s more than just a nostalgia trip — it’s a very timely continuation of “X-Men: The Animated Series” that addresses today’s more complicated world while staying true to the spirit of the original. There’s a greater celebration of queer diversity (Morph has been redesigned as a non-binary shapeshifter) but also an accelerated powder keg of hate, which makes the mutants’ enemies much more formidable. This calls for drastic action, which is why the torch has been passed to former arch nemesis Magneto (Matthew Waterson) to lead the X-Men following the loss of Professor Xavier.
The 10-episode animated series also represents Marvel’s first “X-Men” project since regaining the rights from Fox and serves as a prelude to the franchise joining the MCU in this summer’s lone Marvel movie, “Deadpool & Wolverine.” Yet it was vital...

Throughout the years, a lot of stars have portrayed the role of The Dark Knight, aka Batman, in multiple media franchises. Therefore, it is quite obvious that fans would have different opinions about the actors who have played the role, with most having one particular favorite.
Jack Quaid also once opened up about his favorite Batman portrayal and revealed that he felt Michael Keaton’s take on the epic caped crusader was ‘perfect.’

While Superman may be a sensitive subject for many following the decimation of the Dceu and a sense of excitement for others with the advent of the Dcu in the future, at the present moment, Jack Quaid is filling the gap for the absence of the Man of Steel on the big screen.

Superman’s future looks considerably brighter as James Gunn prepares the new version of the DC Universe. Further, even Jack Quaid’s 2023 animated TV series My Adventures With Superman, featured the superhero as a heartfelt and charming one. To be specific, ever since the end of Henry Cavill’s Man of Steel era, the fan-favorite character has witnessed bright and positive days.
Jack Quaid as Hughie Campbell in The Boys
The grim and gritty Superman is now considered a thing of the past. With James Gunn promising to bring a more hopeful Kryptonian, Henry Cavill’s gritty version is now history. However, despite starring as the Last Son of Krypton in the PG-rated 2023 animated TV series, Jack Quaid offered his rare support to Cavill’s grim version of Kal-El. Although he preferred starring as the positive and proactive version, he has nothing against the darker versions of Superman.

"X-Men '97" is bringing the marvelous mutant heroes back to the small screen like they never left it, picking up right after the original series finale, "Graduation Day." Since that aired, the show's '90s setting has gone from contemporary to period piece.
The long-awaited trailer for "X-Men '97" debuted on February 15, 2024, and there's plenty to discuss even with less than 2 minutes of footage. For one, we've now finally seen the series' animation style, which brings modern shading and three-dimensionality to the original's classic cartoon look.
Much of the original voice cast is back (even if they only get a line each to show it), while Ray Chase and Matthew Waterson sound uncanny as Cyclops and Magneto. I'll admit I've been skeptical of "X-Men '97" before now — I've never been a huge fan of the original (the production values were quite low and often off-putting). Plus, the X-Men's world is so vast,...

My Adventures with Superman producer Josie Campbell discussed diversity in the show, particularly pertaining to Lois Lane's casting, in a recent interview.
The animated DC series, streaming on Max, took a realistic approach to early Superman — at least, as realistic as Superman stories about aliens, the Multiverse, and more can be. Clark Kent's civilian life got much story focus, characters were flawed, rather than icons of perfection, and not everyone was either strictly good or strictly bad.
Campbell previously discussed that part of this was making the "show look like the world around us," a goal that was approached by increasing the diversity of Superman's supporting cast. One example of this was the choice to make Lois Lane, a character historically portrayed as caucasian, Korean.

A producer for My Adventures With Superman explained why studio restrictions caused the series to avoid three key characters.
The animated series was an absolute hit for fans. The show managed to pull off a truly unique re-telling of Clark Kent’s origin as Superman, alongside his two best friends, Lois Lane and Jimmy Olsen.
But, when it came to the villains the hero faced in the freshman season, they weren’t what many expected. There was Deathstroke, Livewire, Task Force X, Parasite, and The General, just to name a few.

One of the producers on My Adventures With Superman explained exactly why the show’s take on Lois Lane has an unusually short hairdo.
Lois Lane came into My Adventures With Superman already established as a Daily Planet intern, being portrayed as just slightly older than her two co-stars Clark Kent and Jimmy Olsen.
She was also reimagined in this series with some major changes to her background, being shown as a woman of East Asian descent for the first time as she learns about the dangers in Superman’s world.

In a new interview, My Adventures with Superman producer Josie Campbell discussed Lois Lane's plot twist in the first season's finale.
Throughout the season, two looming figures existed in the background — one on the superhero side of things and one on the civilian.
Superman was actively learning about, and eventually meeting, a general, who was out to get him, while Lois often spoke to Clark Kent of her demanding father. In the DC show's season finale, the characters are revealed to be one and the same.

Romance is in the air for My Adventures with Superman Season 2 as its co-creator Josie Campbell teased that Clark Kent and Lois Lane will "court more" in the show's sophomore run.
The new animated series took a surprise turn when Lois found out Clark's secret identity as Superman early on in Season 1's fourth episode.
Campbell explained in a separate interview that revealing Clark's identity to Lois during an early moment of Season 1 "was a great way to sort of like expand on their relationship."

My Adventures With Superman producer Josephine Campbell spoke about Lois Lane's race change in the animated series.
The series, whose first season is streaming in its entirety on Max, put Clark Kent, Lois Lane, and Jimmy Olsen's roots into modern-day, keeping several classic elements of Superman's mythos while adapting others into something fresh and new.
Take Flamebird, for instance. What was a one-off identity for Jimmy in DC comics (as well as the name of a character in a Kryptonian myth) is now Jimmy's online social media handle, where he shares conspiracy theories and stories.

When Star Trek: Lower Decks premiered in the summer of 2020 — so long ago that its streaming home at the time was called CBS All Access, rather than Paramount+ — it seemed caught between two potentially incompatible goals. On the one hand, the animated series, run by Mike McMahan, wanted to satirize all of the most ridiculous ideas the Star Trek franchise had introduced since the mid-20th century. And on the other, it wanted to tell genuine, thrilling Star Trek stories, set a decade or so after the events of the various Nineties spinoffs.

The sudden vacant feeling and confusion after a really addictive series ends is something most of us are familiar with, and for some reason, it feels even more disheartening in the case of superhero-oriented content. Perhaps due to the scarcity of wholesome content or how much the adventures of the Man of Steel help us to reinstate our belief in good virtues, humanity, and a hopeful future. Which is the reason why earlier this year, the completion of the third season of Superman and Lois left us fans craving for more, and the recently ended animated series My Adventures With Superman has caught us in disbelief about having to wait almost a year to get the second season.
The first season of My Adventures With Superman revolved around the initial days of Superman and, by that definition, also focused on the beginning of the journey of Lois, Jimmy, and Clark as friends and journalists.

A journey filled with love, laughter, wonder, nostalgia, peak superhero amusement, and emotional conflicts comes to an end with My Adventures With Superman season finale episode titled Hearts of the Fathers. In the previous episode, Clark was able to escape from General Sam Lane’s captivity, even in his depowered form. He battled with a Kaiju-sized, empowered Parasite armor-clad Dr. Ivo and emerged victorious with the help of Lois, Jimmy, and the citizens of Metropolis. Sam’s initial belief about Superman being a weapon of invading alien aggressors started to falter, and realizing this, Amanda Waller craftily ousted him from his role as Task Force X chief. On the other hand, Clark learns that denizens of his birth planet, Krypton, were behind the Zero Day invasion twenty-two years ago (coinciding with his arrival on Earth), which led General Sam to believe Superman to be a threat. Lois lets go of...

A producer for My Adventures With Superman offered some words about the show’s big Lois Lane twist.
Usually, in Clark Kent’s stories over the last few decades, it often takes some time before his fated lover discovers he moonlights as a superhero when he’s not at the Daily Planet. The creatives chose to ditch that little dilemma for Max's new animated series by having Lois figure it out by Episode 4.
The moment occurs when Lois Lane accidentally finds a newspaper clipping in Clark's jacket that he originally hid to keep her from discovering his Superman identity.

The team from DC's latest animated series, My Adventures with Superman, confirmed that Lois Lane's race was swapped in the show from her comics counterpart.
There is a history of character changes, be it race or gender, in comic book adaptations, especially as fans continue to push for more diversity in the media. For example, Black actors like Michael B. Jordan and Navia Robinson have played originally-white characters like the Human Torch and Carrie Kelley, respectively.
Even more basic appearance changes are par for the course in comic book movies and television. Marvel Comics Daredevil is a redhead, whereas Charlie Cox is not, for instance.

The penultimate episode of the first season of My Adventures With Superman retraces the core element of superhero fiction- human connection, strongly into the narrative, as the role of the Man of Steel as the protector of the world gets emphasized through a beautiful, emotional scenario. In the previous episode, viewers witnessed how a misunderstanding made people in Metropolis afraid of Clark, which mentally troubled him. Adding to that, Lois’ paranoia stemming from her knowledge of the existence of some evil versions of Supermen in the multiverse leads her to unwittingly hurt Clark. Vicki Vale, the top journalist from the “Gotham Gazette,” exploited Perry, Lois, and Jimmy to write a hit piece on Superman, thereby deteriorating the public perception of the superhero even further.
The General deploys his newly formed Task Force X, consisting of the tech-stealing supervillains Slade Wilson and Ivo, to hunt down Superman and take him into captivity.

Life kicks us down at the exact moment when everything seems to be going great, and even the Man of Steel is no exception in that regard. After the trip to the multiverse in the seventh episode of My Adventures With Superman, the romance between Lois and Clark had barely started to blossom when Lois got her hands on an ominous case file of the evil Supermen of the Multiverse, which triggered her concerns about Clark. On the other hand, the mysterious General, the leader of the covert government offensive project Task Force X, has started taking the villainous scientist Ivo’s help to manifest his plans of bringing ruin to Superman, whom he considers a threat to humankind. As Clark learns to control another of his newfound powers and struggles with public perception, the eighth episode titled Zero Day: Part One turns out to be possibly the darkest one in My Adventures With Superman.

Just when we as viewers were thinking that it would be tough for My Adventures With Superman to top the brilliant sixth episode, which portrayed marginalized characters like Monsieur Mallah and Brain in a sympathetic light, the seventh episode pushed the limits by introducing the multiverse in a brilliant manner. In the sixth episode, Clark came clean to Jimmy and Lois about his secret identity as Superman, and the bond between the three friends grew stronger than ever. As the trio bids farewell to Mallah and Brain, Clark learns about the possibility of his connection with the covert operations spearheaded by the mysterious general. In Episode 7, Kiss Kiss Fall In Portal, the story takes a detour from the central narrative, and we explore the larger DC multiverse with the help of one of Superman’s classic enemies.

According to data from Parrot Analytics, “Twisted Metal” generated 29.6 times the average demand a TV show drives during the week of July 29 - Aug. 4. One of the reasons Superman is so revered worldwide is because of how he stands up for the marginalized and champions the ideals of truth, equality, and justice. With the surprisingly brilliant sixth episode, titled My Adventures With Mad Science, viewers are once again reminded of the cause Superman fights for.
The unfortunate fallout that happened in the fifth episode of My Adventures With Superman due to Lois confronting Clark about not revealing his secret identity to her and the duo abandoning Jimmy in his Bigfoot adventure is also addressed properly, even with the short runtime. In the previous episode, the General in charge of covert government operatives and Amanda Waller attacked Superman using agent Slade Wilson, wielding an advanced tech-laced armor whose tech signature was similar to most of the tech-based supervillains Superman had fought so far. ‘My Adventures With Superman’ Episode 4 Recap & Ending, Explained: What Is Prototype Parasite Armor?
With a journalist like Lois Lane by his side most of the time, it was never going to be easy for Clark to keep his identity as Superman a secret. Having been obsessed over Superman’s origins since his first appearance, Lois wanted to take an interview with the Man of Steel, and she got a brief version of that, too, in the previous episode of My Adventures With Superman. As Clark took on the Intergang in the previous episode as Superman, his vision-related powers kicked in, and he saved Metropolis from being frozen completely by destroying an advanced machine core. So far in the series, the presence of a covert organization is shown, of which Slade Wilson and Amanda Waller are members, and their investigations, along with various Kryptonian weapons, might reveal the secret behind Clark’s Kryptonian origin. In this episode, “Let’s Go To Ivo Tower, You Say,...

As he approached the spaceship that brought him to Earth, Clark received a vision of him being possibly the last survivor of a doomed planet and also received a costume, which, along with his adoptive mother Martha’s modifications, created the iconic costume of the titular hero.

The lineup for the 2023 San Diego Comic-Con has been unveiled, giving attendees – and those refreshing their browsers the entire weekend – a little less to look forward to but still plenty of panels, reveals and anniversary spotlights. The 2023 Comic-Con is a far more limited affair this year due to major players like Marvel, Sony, Universal, Disney, and more dropping out at least partly due to the ongoing Writers Guild of America strike. And with deadlines on the potential Screen Actors Guild strike quickly approaching, could only harm the event even more.
Here are some of the highlights of the 2023 San Diego Comic-Con:
