Really well done.

I did have to adjust the settings on the TV to bring in more light to picture. The acting by the entire cast has been amazing and the story just grabs you and pulls you in! Well done to everyone involved!

Could someone please turn on a light?

Warning: Spoilers
While the story remains compelling about half this episode was shot in the dark. I don't mean low light, I mean 5 -7 second stretches where the screen is completely black and long scenes where you are really squinting to see anything. Frustrating as hell.

Warning: Spoilers
Chris pratt is pretty much in every scene so he must have worked hard on this show lol

anyway, fast paced, full of action and the plot thickens I am afraid.

Will definetely check the books to see how it differs but for now the show has me hooked..

Reece goes after the agent and finds out something important.. so far so good.

A Vital Clue!
lavatch19 July 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Reece is beginning to doubt his own sanity as the incomprehensible set of events in the imaging center followed by the deaths of his wife and daughter have left him grief-stricken.

The reporter Katie Buranek seems to be sympathetic. Reece grants her permission to access his medical records. But is she mainly interested in a scoop.

Working with his old buddy Ben, Reece discovers suspicious conduct on the part of NCIS investigator Josh Holder. In a private session with the Secretary of Defense Hartley, Reese learns that Khatani is dead. Madam Secretary seems just a little too eager to close the case.

After tracking Josh Holder and breaking into his apartment, Reece learns that there are no knife wounds on Harder's arms, signifying that he could not have been the assailant during the brain scan. A struggle ensues and Harder is shot, but not before revealing a vital clue. He was in the pay of a man named Saul Agnan.

Under appreciated and inauspiciously authentic
This show and especially Chris Pratt are exactly why streaming entertainment is so timely and necessary. Hollywood lost all credibility decades ago when it elevated politics above honesty. It's not Bourne but it's asset level entertainment.

Truth is not relative and lies are prevalent.

As Steve Jobs so profoundly declared "The most powerful person in the world is the storyteller." Few people can discern the truth from the stories nowadays. If you're not a storyteller then you're a participant in their story.

As "The Terminal List" so incisively details throughout the entire first season, knowing your enemy IS the battle. This series has its flaws (Secondary Acting, Overly Dark and occasionally sloppy writing) but it's also disturbingly authentic and could very possibly be non-fiction.

Fairly sharp, very believable and satisfying story with a hero who's easy to root for.

80/100.

pace picking up
clsiewert19 December 2022
First episode took a long time to develop--interesting choice to go linear with the timeline instead of doing family flashbacks (but made it all the more gut-punching). In this episode, it's finally clear that the story is a psychological thriller and the pace/story is appropriate to it. Very impressed by the acting quality. The music--not so much--it occasionally overshadows the dialogue. Maybe Pratt needs a diction coach, or to play it a little less mumbly. Ditto all the prior reviews on the lighting being too dark when it's not appropriate (bedroom/underground/nightclub).

This was enjoyable enough that we went right into episode #3.

Left Forearm

Warning: Spoilers
1. Reece goes to funeral 2. Reece meets with Katie more 3. Reece shoots an agent

It's still unclear if Reece is mentally unwell. I think the interesting part is that now it's becoming clear that there is some sort of conspiracy going on despite the popular belief. But at the same time, Reece is most likely unwell. These two ideas are not mutually exclusive. I guess we will find out about motive more down the road.

Now I am starting understand the discrepancy between some of the critical responses and public responses. There are moments where it's overly dramatic, particularly with the overly done music. The whole thing is mostly just heavy and dark with Chris Pratt looking like a minime of Arnold. However, overall I think it's very captivating and engaging. And if that's the case for me, it's a decent show so far.
