Road House (2024)
My eyes!!!! My eyes!!!!!
I cannot recall the last time a film made me nauseous, actually queasy. It wasn't the action scenes, it was Conor McGregor. Just the absolute worst 'acting' ever filmed.
I had to watch this tripe in 2 sessions so I could say I did see the entire movie. Jake Gyllenhaal did a good job but it was impossible to carry this mess by himself. Plot holes all over the place, very odd casting choices, many cringe lines.
It's still true that you can't make a silk purse from a sow's ear and this sorry attempt to do so was a mistake from the get-go. The best thing about this movie was the scenery. Like others have said, I had to watch the original with Patrick Swayze to recover!
The English (2022)
What a story!
I thoroughly was amazed and enthralled by this epic series. The acting, the cinematography, so well done. Emily Blunt and Chaske Spencer are wonderful in these award worthy roles. The pacing of the storyline is more of that period and may seem slow to some people, but I appreciated the skill it took to lay out the entire saga in that way. I will definitely watch this more than once. The scenery was so beautiful. All the actors involved can be very proud of the work they put into this series. It's completely worth the time to stick with the entire series and let it all unfold in the way it is intended.
The Terminal List: Encoding (2022)
Really well done.
I did have to adjust the settings on the TV to bring in more light to picture. The acting by the entire cast has been amazing and the story just grabs you and pulls you in! Well done to everyone involved!
The Tomorrow War (2021)
Thoroughly enjoyed this film!
I was very impressed with this film! Very interesting storyline, Chris Pratt was amazing, the whole cast did a great job! The effects and locations were stunning. The emotional elements of the film surprised me. It's rare for a film to hold my attention all the way to the end, but the time flew by! Highly recommended this to all my pals at work today.
Finding 'Ohana (2021)
Good fun, brah!!
I enjoyed this little movie. You can't go wrong filming in Hawaii. Cast did a good job with a simple story. Good family film.
A Thousand Goodnights (2019)
Well worth your time!
A different pace of storytelling, that takes awhile to get used to, but very much worth your time. The scenery and photography is stunning! This series is quite touching, dealing with family issues, loss, and regrets. Very enjoyable viewing, very capable actors.
