Prime Video’s latest sensation, the Fallout TV show sparked a new interest to the iconic video game franchise in millions of people who haven’t even heard about it previously — and launched quite a few careers sky-high. One of the show’s lead stars, Ella Purnell (Lucy MacLean) found herself under the spotlight thanks to it…
Except that in 2014, the young actress was already working with Angelina Jolie.
Ella Purnell Starred in Maleficent
You read it right: the Fallout lead star did a movie with Angelina Jolie back in the day, and not just any movie. 2014’s Maleficent, one of Jolie’s last movies before she effectively quit acting, saw Ella Purnell play the same character as the former queen of Hollywood — Purnell starred in it as the younger version of Maleficent herself.
Maleficent wasn’t the young actress’ first rodeo, either. Before that, in 2010, she starred in minor...

A cute kid dying of cancer is usually a surefire way for filmmakers to get the tears flowing, but despite a few powerful moments, this children's-book-turned-movie isn't designed to make its audience cry. As Sam (Robbie Kay) narrates his thoughts and talks directly to us through his video diaries, the overarching sentiment of Ways to Live Forever is curiosity. Does dying hurt? How does someone live forever? Why can't he talk about these things with his dad (Ben Chaplin)? Kay charismatically delivers Sam's matter-of-fact acceptance of his fate—reminiscent of a young Nicholas Hoult in About a Boy or Thomas Brodie-Sangster in Love, Actually. All he wants in his remaining days is to get through some of his bucket list: see a ghost; fly in an airship; become a sci...

Once Upon a Time has tapped up-and-comer Robbie Kay — aka the titular star of the internationally produced 2008 TV-miniseries Pinocchio — to join the Season 3 cast as a member of the infamous Lost Boys, TVLine has learned exclusively.
Kay, who will appear on a recurring basis, is the first of Peter Pan’s Neverland minions to be cast for the new season. The show is currently searching for an actor to play the group’s mischievous, occasionally twisted leader, Rufio.

Daniel Kaluuya (represented by Troika), plays Black Death, part of the gang of villains led by 'The Mother F*cker' (formerly Red Mist). Daniel starred in BBC Three's The Fades, and will also be seen in up-coming crime thriller Welcome To The Punch.
Augustus Prew (represented by The Rights House) plays Todd, replacing Evan Peters in the role of Dave Lizewski's (Aaron Johnson) best friend. Augustus stars as Alfonso in The Borgias and will next be seen alongside fellow young Brit Lucy Boynton in Copperhead.

Faceless minions are not what the movie Intruders is about. Instead, it is about a supernatural force bent on possessing two children who live quite literally worlds apart. This dark shadowy entity is after 13-year old Mia (Ella Purnell) and her father, John Farrow (Clive Owen), can do very little to help save her ... or can he?
Filmmaker Juan Carlos Fresnadillo (28 Weeks Later) helms this movie. The trailer that recently released shows that Mia is an aspiring writer. Her voice over makes for an interesting set up which creates a potentially sinister tone for the film. Her British accent helps add to the ambience, and hopefully this movie will not be another Don't Be Afraid of the Dark. This film seems to have influences from M. Night Shyamalan's Signs as well.
Thankfully the MPAA rating of R is the right step for at least suggesting the chills are indeed...

We have four audio treats in store this week, kicking off with Heartless, a British psychological horror film starring Jim Sturgess. Its soundtrack is composed by David Julyan, who has previously worked on several Christopher Nolan films. The music is brooding and atmospheric but the only tracks that seem to build to anything are ‘Papa B’ and (inevitably) ‘Papa B Returns’, with ‘Run, Jamie, Run!’ adding some sense of momentum and bluster. The rest of the music largely consists of minimalist strings over bassy electronic wobbles, which is okay, but unremarkable.
Following Heartless is Ways to Live Forever, a film about two young boys with leukaemia who long to try all the various life experiences that they won’t live long enough to enjoy. Happy times. Cesar Benito’s score is chirpier than one might expect, but sounds like a Tesco Value Yann Tiersen effort, all quirky strings and plonky piano parts,...

London -- Greta Scacchi, Ben Chaplin, Emilia Fox and Phyllida Law have assembled to star in "Ways To Live Forever," a movie based on Sally Nicholl's debut novel of the same name about a boy with leukemia who wants to live out all his dreams before he dies.
The £2 million ($3.6 million) budgeted project is co-produced by Life & Soul Productions, the company established in 2007 by producers Martyn Auty and Javier Gazulla, and Spanish-based El Capitan Pictures.
Due to start shooting next week on location in the North East of England, the picture will be directed by Gustavo Ron from his own script adaptation. Ron's previous credits include "Mia Sarah."
Based on Nicholls' novel it tells the story of 12-year-old leukemia sufferer who loves collecting fascinating facts, scary movies and spaceships and wants to try his first beer and kiss a girl. He also wants to know what happens when you die.
