This show seems to be getting really nastily affected by Disney.

I must confess that I get quite excited when I realize I'm about to watch the yearly THoH - it's such a treat, generally - but this one left me quite unsatisfied overall, despite the fact that it didnt really lack anything. Or I just cant put my finger on it.

A little thing that really annoyed me is that just 2 episodes following the dreadful "Star of the backstage" (which should be renamed "Worst. Episode. Ever" - I'm never watching this one again, it will be the only one ever...), this THoH opened with another piece of poorly written disney-style music and singing, which was very cringy and let me fear the worst for the rest of the episode...

It got back on tracks hopefully, but still failed to deliver, somehow. It feels quite insipid in fact, outside of the "trees" part...

Freshest treehouse of horror it is new with 5 segements instead of 3 so far season 33 is great (premiere not as good as these past two)

These Simpsons Treehouse of Horror episodes are getting bland, and this is no exception. I thought overall, this episode had decent segments, but overall just okay.

The first story, which is a Parasite parody, wasn't very good. I felt like this really shouldn't be in a Treehouse of Horror episode. It could've just been a Simpsons tall tale. It was kind of boring, and overall just kind of a drag.

The second segment, with the evil trees, is my favorite. This is probably one of my favorite Treehouse of Horror segments of the past few years. I really like the campy, and classic Treehouse of Horror feel to this episode. It felt nostalgic, and really enjoyed it.

The final segment, which as a parody of the Ring, was okay. I didn't like how it was based on a Tik Tok video, like they had to be cool with the young kids. I thought it was a fun spoof. Nothing special, but it was fine segment.

Overall, this was an okay Treehouse of Horror, with some fun ideas, but mediocre execution.

The pace felt up to par with the best earlier year's & parodies didn't wait for you get the joke, moving forward smoothly. I think the open ended segment experiment went well.

Best treehouse of horror episode I've ever seen. It's just like previous treehouse of horror episodes from the classic Simpsons. It's a roller coaster ride filled with laughter and shocks.

I love how the segments are long and short and the Horror is so scary I can jump my self a fright, This Halloween episode is the best one so far this Season/Decade.

Every year I would look forward to the annual Treehouse of Horror as they were usually the freshest and wittiest episodes the entire season. Every year since 2000, however, the annual Halloween shows (and the entire show as well) have gotten worse, with references to and spoofs of mystery/horror movies that nobody outside of Hollywood has seen. I am optimistic, and still look forward to the Halloween episodes, but now I think, what is the point? "The Simpsons" should have been retired 20 years ago.

Wow just terrible. This yearly tradition is just weak and stale. Poor writing, no creativity. Show just needs to be cancelled at this point.

I am a massive Simpsons fan, but this entire episode was lazy writing, some good ideas strung togerher with total garbage and a devoid of jokes.

Then to really kill it they throw in a lazy trans joke where a plant "identifies as a tree"... how to work deaf do you have to be? That joke would be cringe worthy in something from the 1990s I was rewatching but in 2021? Just unforgivable!!!

These tree house of horrors are no near as god as they used to be since season 17 proven in this episode also starting now since I found out of the voice changes I will be boycotting them I'll stick with the voices I grew up with also the new seasons are horrible.

I'm sorry but this is the first treehouse of horror i could not finish the stories were horrible it didn't engage me marge voice still sounds like she has laryngitis to me it was just boring didn't care for it and wont be watching any of the newer epsiodes.

Definitely on the top 5 worst Treehouse of Horror's.

This was a nice one. After the horrible musical episode opening the 33th season and the almost-as-horrible second episode, this was... O. K. It had cute and funny bits in it and some horror/"gore" too. I'm not sure if I'm going to even watch this season any further - for now, at least. So many things are badly off on the show: the storylines, interesting ideas that haven't been used already and the whole question whether this is meaningful anymore.

This is starting to feel like those dreams I have in which I still have the same dog that I had twenty years ago: "How can he still be here? I thought he was dead!"

Boring and nothing interesting happens, the intro starts with a reference to the Walt Disney movie Bambi, the first segment Parasite from the 2019 movie about Bart and his family stay in a house of a rich family and discover more people living inside, the second segment A Nightmare On Elm Tree which is a common reference to A Nightmare On Elm Street but it is with trees, then Maurice Lamarche reads a book to Maggie Simpson before bedtime and the final segment Dead Ringer which is a common reference to The Ring after Lisa does a tik tok dare and during the ending we hear a song even Kang and Kodos appear singing and waiting for the next treehouse of horror wich will come out this fall.
