Love the show

I'm a line cook and in the business. Chef Cliff Crooks is great. The craziness that so many folks seem to find "exciting" on kitchen shows with the yelling and raising hell is simply not the way to properly cook in a commercial atmosphere in the 21st century. Chef Crooks exhibits a real natural way to teach and encourage people to perform very hard work to cook for customers.

A real look into many kitchens inside restaurants.

A really good idea. I enjoy this. Restaurant Impossible for most businesses.

Calm & Collected

Chef. Cliff is magnificent because he leads with calmness. He not as harsh as some of thee other chefs are on their shows. I love how he is capable of helping the chefs to understand what they need to work on to become a better version of themselves by allowing them to begin with fundamentals to working in a busy and successful kitchen, and finally creating their own dish. Two thumbs up chef Cliff!

Bully getting to be a bully
jshmcbrm2122 August 2021
He assaulted another contestant and did not show regret until he was going home from top chef, that was one of top chefs lowest moments and he gave off a "just let it go man" vibes to Tom when sent him packing. He is still the same jerk on here, if you give a bully some power he will abuse it.

Um.....
cgetty-190642 May 2021
Why did they give someone who tried to assault another (albeit very annoying) person a show?! (It's a Top Chef reference....if y'all don't know, then watch up)

Meh

It seems a mix between Worst Cooks and Restaurant Impossible. It's more a makeover show (of the chefs' skills) than anything else.

Kinda got upset at all the food thrown away. They're in NYC, I'm sure they could have given the food to super appreciative people in the area.

Predictable

It is slow moving. Not much could be said about the host and his training methods.

Chef seems so phony
satinee-9300214 July 2022
I tried looking at this last year and did not care for it. I decided to give it another try and I just get this feeling of phoniness! The chef appears so puffed up and full of himself. Something just really feel off about him. I don't have the desire to come back to this show again.

Fake

Honestly, what a ridiculous show. Noone is taught anything. It's all prepared ahead of time like Undercover Boss.

Producers must think ppl are fools. Three meals and voila, you fix a Chef? You advise their boss as to whether or not to keep them? Shameful. The teacher is also an unpleasant man...but that's typical of FOOD NETWORK.
