Staffordshire's Waterways (Part 1) is the start of the final season of Grand Canal Journeys, hosted by Gyles Brandreth and Sheila Hancock. Sadly, this is the final season, and this season was broadcast when the world was pretty much shut down with the pandemic, but you don't really get evidence of this in this episode, which debuted on 8 March 2021.
I like the rapport between Gyles and Sheila, and I like their banter and rapport with each other and the guests. We see the history of wedgwood and the hazards of the employees back in the day. Anyway, it's a shame there wasn't another season after this, but maybe it can revived with Danny Dyer and one of the Spice Girls being the co-hosts.
