I actually remember seeing this!! Dee Wallace hosted it, and she mentioned several children. The one she talked about that made me remember this tv special was about a child who did not talk for years, until the day the child was shown the movie. The child made noises and talked for the very first time. Dee was quite emotional about it, as it was a great thing that happened. I wish someone out there had a copy of this, because I haven't seen it since the one time during the 1992 airing of the movie on CBS. It came on right after the movie was aired. I am not sure if this special was inspired by the book of the same name that came out in 1983, but if it was, then that's pretty cool. I wish I knew why this wasn't included as an extra on all of the various releases on VHS, DVD, and Blu-Ray.
