Outstanding.

I feel like " I Hate Suzie Too" has ambitiously managed to succeed in doing what Todd Phillips & Joaquin Phoenix naively THOUGHT they were doing whilst making the "Joker" movie (a comparison perhaps intentionally made with the opening sequence); both attempting to show individuals disenfranchised with society driven near mad by the injustice of it. However, "Joker" undoubtedly got it wrong, whereas Lucy Prebble on the other hand gets it totally right, lensing the perception of injustice through the eyes of real-life victims, as opposed to the actual perpetrators so rather than dignifying incel culture (which believes it's victimised & what that box office hit inadvertently did), she & co-creator Billie Piper actually show how women aren't afforded the luxury of publicly breaking like "Arthur Flec"; that indulgence is solely afforded to men, thrust in to the public eye. Hence, this masterfully captures how society puts a disproportionate amount of pressure on those of the female sex to maintain a façade of civility (because acting out would be very unladylike & provoke negative connotations) whereas men can be seen to be aggressive & angry, because it's associated & additionally normalised with their gender.

Hence, this feels far more relevant because it's far more believable & grounded, based on the grim truth of the patriarchy - depicting the dystopia of tragic reality, as opposed to right wing fiction.

Humans make mistakes
BULLCBULL25 December 2022
I hate Susie Too will win your heart over if you are a woman (or man?) that has ever had child custody chaos, if you have ever been shattered mentally or emotionally for a mistake; it's for you if you've ever had a significant other albeit severe error in judgement uses it to try to destroy your world or at least use your human imperfections to rip up your life? I know far too many women who are/have/will deal with parental alienation myself, including. If you have ever allowed guilt, shame and self-loathing to think the other person deserves more than you to get all the way, you'll have a front-row seat to see how you can never allow that to happen again. If you ever wanted a tv show to convey to a person what custody chaos, potential parental alienation or your downward spiral looked like, watch this!

If it weren't for my imperfection as a human of dislikes for too many musical ballads that I can in no way enjoy in a tv show like this series and especially this second season, if it had one worthy song would be our anthem, our battle cries our warriors' soul was moving forward series.

Exhilarating

Warning: Spoilers
These 3 episodes were pretty damn amazing!!! I hadn't seen Billie Piper before the first season. No idea of her talent prior to this show, but her acting and dancing especially in S2 was great. The dance to the cover of Miss World by Hole gave me goosebumps, especially with her pared down hair and make up, but then (by contrast) it made her strut to the final dance pretty breathtaking. The music score was spot on throughout. Enough left to the imagination of the fall out and the papers on Christmas Day. It finished at the right point.

I loved the wardrobe mistress - one genuinely supportive person. Sure Susie was ruthless and desperate, but it wasn't unfounded.
