Like the first season, the series starts off well and then devolves quickly into a nonsensical pile. You can't fault the actors but you have to wonder why they would sign up for a project that is just so lame. When I reviewed this before I mentioned some really ridiculous points in the script like no expert virologist would store deadly viruses in their home. Nobody would stop and abandon their car on the beltway in rush hour traffic, to hike over to a store to buy bleach to clean up a possible hazmat spill. Why would the producers go along with that? A) incredibly stupid or failed home school biology, B) they assume the public is that stupid to buy into it. It's a drama not a documentary, I get that but the series is so riddled with these gaffes, it's hard to watch without gut wrenching. This was pre-pandemic btw so maybe their audience is that stupid, I dunno. I only started watching this to see if the pandemic had made the producers had gained some integrity and perhaps hired a middle school biology teacher, or someone with some basic common sense, to consult. Um, sadly no. The series starts out well but then like the first season, it quickly devolves into a pile. What's most astounding about this series is how they got the financing. Does that mean that there are actually enough dumbed down people to justify a reboot. Does it mean the heads of hulu who greenlight this are dumbed down to the same level as their audience. Yes, I know, I watched it so what does that say about me. Or, is this some inside joke and nobody watching this is not really paying attention anyway. Prior to this being aired, the web was twittering about the first lead asian actor in a series. Ok, after watching this, all that means is that anyone, of any race, can make bad choices.
