"Liars getting caught in their lies"

The plot thickens and we get to know more about the main case and Jerry's life. This is beautifully paced with lots of information dropping without feeling deluged in so many plotlines.

Not as outstanding as episode one, but a fabulous edition nonetheless.

Moving Right Along

Things get more dicey. There is still little evidence; however, someone is really trying to put a stop to the investigation. The previous lawyer seemed to have painted himself into a corner and paid the price. It is hard to imagine going to trial with no evidence whatsoever. The magic bullet thing is nice but the meaning could have been culled before without the secretary's bit of knowledge. We get a jolt at the end which drives us on to episode three.

Warning: Spoilers
Old Mickey Haller might have bitten off more than he can chew with the Trevor Elliott murder investigation he inherited - Trevor has been accused of killing his girlfriend and her yoga instructor boyfriend but claims innocence. Mickey is being surveilled, it seems, by an SUV without any plates and there doesn't seem to be a speck of evidence regarding the murder in the files Mickey also inherited from the dead Jerry. Apparently Jerry was acting scared in the days and weeks before his untimely death.

I love the cast of characters in The Lincoln Lawyer: Mickey works with his second ex-wife Lorna, (she is his legal aide), his most trusted investigator, Cisco - played by one of Australia's funniest men, Angus Sampson - also happens to be dating Lorna (and wants to marry her, no less) and he is on remarkably good terms with his first ex-wife Maggie, too - played by the stunning Neve Campbell, who has aged like a fine wine since her Party of Five days. Not quite your standard, run-of-the-mill legal drama cast. I like it!

Minor quibble

Warning: Spoilers
SPOILER ALERT - MINOR

There seems to be no good explanation for this case being tried in downtown Los Angeles. Murders in Malibu would be tried in Santa Monica Superior Court. An exception would exist and downtown would be the trial setting if the defendant was indicted rather than the D. A. proceeding by preliminary hearing, but such grand jury indictment prosecutions are rare. In the OJ case, the D. A. announced he would seek an indictment rather than preliminary hearing, but the outcry was so great that the D. A. dropped that plan, but OJ's case had already been transferred downtown.

It does not make much difference since the characters are able to move about Los Angeles at speeds unknown to mere mortals. In response to Bosch's frequent statement "I'll see you in thirty minutes," in the Bosch series, a commenter noted there are no points in Los Angeles any longer which are thirty minutes or less from each other.

There would, of course, be a different jury pool in Santa Monica Superior, which might have affected the outcome in OJ's case.

The constitutional right to an indictment enshrined in the. Fifth Amendment, is a constitutional right not incorporated by the 14th Amendment if the state has a similar gate keeping system in place, such as California's preliminary hearing system.

Warning: Spoilers
Things going fast paced. .which is good.. I dropped some shows because the first episode was as boring as watching Echo 3 and some other apple series..

anyway, michey helkps black dude to get out of a liar police officer.. which hopefully dude would appear again to help michey but i doubt it

of course, every time we have a male lead, he needs to be catering to every woman in the show even tho he is the smartest, richest or whateer makes him the main character.. here mikey is the lawyer but he does whatever lorna, one of his ex wives tells him to do.. not to mention the girl from scream, which is the super prosecutor and also mother of his child and he is always looking for her validation..

wonder if the roles were reversed, she would be doing the same? I doubt it..
