I just lost my husband in August, so I really felt Carrie's pain. I cried when Carrie opened the note and it was from Samantha. I miss her. But I totally understand Kim Cantrell decision to stay away.

I cried during this episode. A lot. I didn't think I would, but I did. Being a long time SATC fan, this one really stung. I think the episode was well done and I appreciate the inclusion of Samantha, even if it was something small. However, the first two episodes are really heavy on the heart.
The episode itself was really good, but I don't know if my heart can take any more Carrie and Big flashbacks. Hoping the following episodes don't make me cry again.

Warning: Spoilers
I don't like crying about anyone when I'm watching my favorite shows. This one got to me, and also caught me off guard. The song in the previous episode will never be the same to me, I will always remember what happened on this show and probably will not want to hear it again.
The evolution

Wow this show has evolved. It can't be the same as it was before. They are older. They have dealt with life and the reality of a world changing around them. Kudos. It's not easy to do.
We've all gotten older and it's important to recognize that even if we don't want to. So far so good writers.

Just....Kinda.....WOW

As a 61 yo woman, I was 38 when SATC debuted... I loved the show & all of the life changes we saw the characters go through...
This reboot is so vapid...& pretty empty in comparison... I'm not sure they could EVER get this show (anywhere near) up to par with the original SATC.
I still hope & wish that it can become so much more than it is....
(I always loved Charlotte...why is she irritating the royal fk out of me?!)

Amazing one

Such a good episode. Anyone who lost a loved one & knows what those days after look and feel like can relate. I cited.many times during this one. It shows grief in a very realistic way. Bravo! This episode alone is amazing, no matter what you think about the whole show.

A Beautiful Farewell

Warning: Spoilers
Big's funeral is at the center of this episode, and it's a lovely tribute to his character.
A few thoughts about episode 2:
THE FUNERAL: Funerals are painful, and this was a touching farewell to Big. It was also a hilarious depiction of all the kind and awful things that people say at these sorts of events.
CARRIE: The cool, calm, and collected version of Carrie is disconcerting, and it tells us just how much she's hurting right now. It's a HUGE relief when she finally breaks down in the hallway...and just like that Carrie comes back to life.
CHE & MIRANDA: The chemistry between them is off the hook. There's a lot of intensity in their first meeting, and I'm on board for this ride.
CHE: I like that Che is so unapologetically themselves. We could all use more of that in our lives.
DISLIKES: I want to see more of Dr. Wallace's character. She seems to have so much more to offer than just being a professor who is there to help Miranda be more culturally aware.

VAPID AND TRITE
loolooland-8123616 December 2021
I tried- I really did. I came of age with SATC. This is not what I imagined. The characters are shells of their former selves, and the writing is pathetic. There's literally no acting chops that can redeem it. I have to write a certain number of characters to post. So, I'll just reiterate VAPID AND TRITE.
Who wrote this crap?? This is awful!

Warning: Spoilers
Is this Big's funeral??? Or Aleksander Patrovski's?? Big was not a white box man! He was fun and charming and wealthy and owned a vineyard in CA... But there's only one bottle of wine at his funeral. And Miranda hated Big why would Carry have her talk?? Where's Raul his driver who was always with him ...instead we get his secretary we've never seen crying and getting drunk. This show is awful! Why is Steve acting like Larry David shouting and acting old. This show is woke and terrible. I loved Sanford on SATC...It is really sad this is how his career ended. SJP should delete this show..all of it.
Awful; turned provocative, 3D, charismatic characters into 1D morons
cynth_marple19 December 2021
This is unwatchable. Guess they will get rid of Steve after Miranda does the "humpty" with Che (so obvious that is coming) or maybe they'll become a "thruple"? Charlotte has become a shrieking, brittle, status obsessed dullard. And Carrie? No way it fits that she becomes the upright, "fluddy Duddy" so easily mocked by the young woke crowd.
Vapid
jennyboyd-5575315 December 2021
The bad reviews are a reflection of viewers insulted by the stupidity of theses characters, BAD acting, and the fact that the two most charismatic characters are gone. We're left with 3 completely unlikeable performances.
Carrie's whole plot line for the entire season
nbkhmb25 February 2022
The best part was when the lady said "Does anyone else remember what an as$hole Big was to Carrie?" It pretty summed up the revisionist characters the lazy writers came up with this iteration of garbage. This is not SATC.
What happened here?

Warning: Spoilers
You came home and watched your husband on the floor. Ok, first hits you the shock. But then you call 911! You had a cell phone, so you can call and run to him at the same time. You can turn off the shower. And then you can help him with chest compressions.
You can clearly see, that he was still alive. But she acted so extreme, that he was already dead and press him so much to her chest. The poor actor couldn't breathe.
What happened here? Why she doesn't call an ambulance? Why the not necessary drama?
The missing character Samantha, is painful to watch. The lightness of the show is gone. The show is much to long and tense to be the "old" show in new-#gender #blacklifematters look. They should stopped and make it totally new, or nothing.
