What's great about this, really, is that it premiered on Halloween. Not exactly a supernatural story, but still a very exciting and scary tale. "Viper" stands out among many independent shorts because of it's simpleness. The story is simple, the sets are simple, and the amount of characters is simple. What stands out among these simple things is the writing. Sargosi's narration really draws you into the character. Into what he's feeling and thinking, without making it feel like lazy writing as often narration does.
Even in the tense climactic moments, the director is able to make us laugh and STILL remain on edge.
