Eric Shea was a very popular child actor in the 1970s. Hes best remembered for his role in The Posiedon Adventure and also starred on a number of episodes of the Wonderful World Of Disney. In this episode he plays Tim a twelve year old child prodegy who is the world's leading expert on the Civil War (he even gives Pete a run for his money because he knows General Robert E. Lee's wife's maiden name). The problem with promoting exceptional children is the fact that as intellectually gifted as they are they are still emotionally children and that is the case with Tim. He asks a girl for a date and she accepts out of pity and then regrets her choice. Mister Dixon gives his usual sage advice even though technically this kid is smarter then he is!

Tim Clemens, a 12 year old genius transfers to Whitman High and gets a crush on Helen.
Another great Season 4 episode. Tim is played by Eric Shea, who had recently been in "The Poseidon Adventure". Tim tries very hard to fit in, he asks Helen to the prom, she doesn't want to hurt his feelings but cannot accept. He also gets into a football game with the big guys. A nice ending to this one also.
