Incredibly interesting documentary.

'Biblical Mysteries Explained' takes us on a exciting biblical journey, seeking to answer questions that skeptics have posed for generations.

I found the most interesting segment of this three part documentary was the attempt to apply scientific rationale to biblical stories. For example, they offered a completely plausible explanation for how Moses parted the Red Sea, to how the first born (human and animal) of every household was killed, thus fulfilling prophecy. No topic, from how locusts and frogs covered the Earth during a plague, to how Lot's wife was turned into a pillar of salt, is left unaddressed in this documentary.

I think any individual will find 'Biblical Mysteries Explained' incredibly fascinating...whether they are a believer of the Bible or not!

Biblical Mysteries Explained was more theoretical than factual.

I found the series really disappointing. The section on Moses parting the ed Sea was so amateurish. For starters we are told that three thousand years ago there was a port about one to two hundred yards from where they found the ridge where supposedly a wind blew the waters apart to let them cross. If the red sea ended a couple of hundred yards away I am sure they would have walked around. It would have been safer surely. Also the wind force needed to part the Red Sea would have to have a really strong force such that if they were facing it they would not have been able to stand up in it never mind cross it. Perhaps it was behind them and it blew them across. On Sodom why was Lot's wife the only person who turned into a pillar, they did not show pillars of anyone else. It seemed to me that the makers of the series simply tried to fit their pre conceived ideas of what happened into reality and you would really have to take it with a pound of salt. Very disappointing.
