Earlier this month, a serial killer thriller called Squealer was given a theatrical and digital release. You can watch the trailer for that one Here. Squealer drew inspiration from the story of Robert Pickton, a Canadian pig farmer who was charged with killing 26 women (but claimed to have killed 49). He would feed the bodies of his victims to the pigs. Just a couple weeks after Squealer made its way out into the world, another serial killer thriller inspired by the Pickton case has arrived in theatres, and you can watch the trailer for this one, which is called Pig Killer, in the embed above.
Pig Killer is currently playing in the following theatres:
Laemmle LA
Film Noir Brooklyn
Reeding Berkeley
Vancouver – Van City Oaks Cinema Center
It will be receiving a VOD and Blu-ray release next week, on November 21st. Copies are available for pre-order on Amazon.

Dances with Werewolves!? I am really excited that this movie is being made. I know a lot of people loveDances With Wolves, and I can respect that. I watched it once, and that did the trick, I didn't really care for it. I've tried watching it since that first initial viewing, and I wanted to gouge my eyes out. There is no redeeming value in watching it multiple times. Then they go and make it longer! Please shoot me now.
If you were to tell me that the extended scenes involved blood thirsty Werewolves coming for Kevin Costner’s blood, I would be all over that. Who wouldn’t be!? Here is what bloodydisgusting had to say about this new Dances with Wolves film.

Breaking Glass Pictures Right now, horror fans for the most part are stuck with one bland, uninspired horror film after another. Sure, there is some sterling horror films that come along like Insidious that get fans raving again, but they are too few and far between. Let's go back to the 2010 Halloween horror scene. Some of the titles that came out around that time included Case 39, Let Me In, Hatchet II, My Soul to Take, Saw 3D, Paranormal Activity 2 and Chain Letter. And I have to say, every single one of those films missed the mark. Now I am not a hater of mainstream horror. A good horror film is a good horror film regardless of budget.
Saw 3D forgot to put enough focus on the characters that made the series compelling to begin with. Chain Letter forgot to tell a story that was cohesive to its premise.

Silent Night, Zombie Night Legendary scream queen Felissa Rose, who so memorably played Angela in both Sleepaway Camp & Return to Sleepaway Camp, tackles the zombie sub-genre of horror as a gun totting bad-ass who blows out some zombie brains in Sean Cain's (Someone's Knocking at the Door) Silent Night, Zombie Night. The film, which co-stars Vernon Wells (Mad Max 2), Lew Temple (The Devil's Rejects), Andy Hopper (Before Turning the Gun) & Jack Forcinito (Breath of Hate), premiered back around Christmas of 2009. Now it appears that Silent Night, Zombie Night has distribution and will be making its way to DVD, finally!
Coming to DVD on Sept 20th in the Us and Canada, Silent Night, Zombie Night takes place a week before Christmas as a viral outbreak turns the citizens of Los Angeles into the walking dead. On the brink of severing ties with both his wife and longtime partner, L.

*A screener of this film was provided by director Trent Haaga.
Director: Trent Haaga.
Writer: Adam Minarovich.
Director Trent Haaga (Killjoy 3) has a strong relationship with horror films as an actor. Now, he directs his first film with Chop, a comedic initial entry. Writer Adam Minarovich is also familiar with the genres of horror and comedy, with an appearance on the first season of The Walking Dead and a showing in Wiseguys vs. Zombies. Together, they have found a way to tickle viewer's funny bones in Chop, despite a screen full of blood and gore. Actor Will Keenan incites much of the laughter, as his character Lance digs his own grave with stories of accidental murder and mayhem. However, actors Timothy Muskatell and Ricardo Grey also bring some chuckles, as weirdly dressed characters.

This week's Hot Babe is a little on the disturbing side, but HBotW is not just to celebrate the hot women and nudity in horror films, it's also a way to learn about movies that have slipped under our radar, like Someone's Knocking at the Door). The Australian film, The Clinic, is also one of those films. It looks and sounds a little like 2008's Inside. The film follows a pregnant woman who "wakes up in an isolated clinic to a mother's worst nightmare." Tabrett Bethell (Legend of the Seeker) plays the pregnant victim, in what looks like to be a very disturbing film.

Today has been a bad day! My computer and ISP seem to want to take the day off. I'm not really sure what is going on, but it took many internet outages, browser crashes and a long time to bring you this week's hot babe. I never heard of Someone's Knocking at the Door but it features, demon titties, an old naked fat guy, and pegging. It is available on DVD, Blu-ray, and is currently on Netflix's "Watch Instantly".

Ezra Buzzington, you may remember him from a handful of movies- Ghost World, Mirrors, The Hills Have Eyes, or Art School Confidential. Lately, however, Ezra Buzzington has been leaving his mark on the indie horror world starring in the drug and rape fueled Someone's Knocking At The Door and the thought provoking Breath of Hate.
I had the chance to ask him a few questions about these projects. Here's what he had to say.

For those unfamiliar with you, who is Ezra Buzzington?
I've been called the Dennis Hopper of underground films. But actually, I'd probably take roles he would shy away from. I'm that guy walking behind you who's going to either fuck you, kill you or make you laugh. Depending on what you least expect. My first film was Fight Club with David Fincher directing. Since then I've...

Hannover House has partnered with producer Rohan Ghodsi's Illusion Film Studios for the production Dances With Werewolves , a thriller by screenwriter David Chirchirillo based on the legendary, supernatural transformative powers of some Native American Indian warriors. The film will be produced in 3-D for theatrical release in 2012 through Hannover House. Chad Ferrin ( Someone's Knocking At The Door ) will direct the film, with Nicole Reid and Niklas Larsson sharing producing duties with Ghodsi. "The legend of Native American warriors transforming themselves into enormously powerful wolves is centuries old," says Hannover House C.E.O., Eric Parkinson. "But it's a concept that for many audiences was only recently re-introduced through the successful 'Twilight'...

Chad Ferrin's latest feature Someone's Knocking at the Door is truly one of the most shocking sexually deviant horror films to go out thus far in 2010 and the special features on the DVD show a gamut of behind the scene features and extras. Included on the DVD, released May 25th, is an audio commentary from Ferrin himself and actor Noah Segan (Justin), an audio commentary with Ferrin and actor Timothy Muskatell who plays Detective Young. 28Dla is going behind the scenes to take a look at director Trent Haaga's (Deadgirl) latest, Chop. Haaga brings an actor's experience to this film with appearances in over thirty films including Chad Ferrin's Someone's Knocking at the Door, the upcoming indie flick Sutures and many more. In this latest production a young couple must confront their past at the hands of a psychotic stranger (Bloody). A revenge thriller for sure, Chop also has a comedic element and principal photography on this independent feature was completed within Los Angeles, recently.
In these shocking exclusive stills Chop shows that things will not go smoothly for actors Tanishaa Mukherji, Billy Bakshi, Malaya Manson, and Timothy Muskatell (Easter Bunny, Kill! Kill!) in Haaga's directorial debut. Have a look at some of these great production stills here until a trailer becomes available for Chop shortly.
A short synopsis for Chophere:

Director: Chad Ferrin.
Writers: Chad Ferrin and Roham Ghodsi.
Chad Ferrin and Crappy World Films produced Easter Bunny, Kill! Kill! for release this year and their latest film is Someone's Knocking at the Door. This feature will release on DVD and Blu-Ray May 25th via Vicious Circle Films and the film stars a number of recognizable independent actors. A giant step up from Easter Bunny, Ferrin gets the right amount of excitement in the film, while creating a unique, horrifying movie watching experience through the use of sexual deviancy and shocking imagery.
The plot is a lot more complex than Easter Bunny; from a reductionist viewpoint the film involves perception and secondarily illicit drug use, hallucinations, and near death experiences. A group of young medical students set out to investigate a pair of deceased serial killers in the hospital's basement only to succumb to an ancient vial of experimental drugs.

Take a break from the daily grind and step into the surreal with Someone's Knocking at the Door. The film will be on DVD May 25th and the plotline involves attacks from a serial killing family known as the Hoppers. The Hoppers do not like to use the usual slice and dice, but instead they use an overgrown phallus to kill their victims. This is only one of several elements that make the film very "sexually deviant" (Bloody). The film was a delight at the Toronto 2009 After Dark Film Festival and here the film will develop a cult following on DVD. Have a look at the ridiculous trailer below (mature audiences only).
